Te Akau New Zealand has two horses racing on Friday 13 April at Rotorua.

As on Thursday 11 April the conditions were: fine and Slow7, rail out 5 metres winning post to 1200m, remainder out 3 metres. 2.5mls rain forecast Thursday night.

1.25 p.m. R3 4 Willpower (2 g Power - The Lady) - Shafiq Rusof; debuts from barrier one in the $10,000 Maiden 2YO 1230 metres. Displaying natural ability at the trials, his two this time in resulting in a second and first respectively at Taupo. His dam, The Lady (Stravinsky), won two stakes' races as a two-year-old and second dam, Lady Dehere (Dehere), was Second Top Filly in the Two-Year-Old Free Handicaps of her juvenile year.

3.10 p.m. R6 2 Fabulous Flight (3 g I Am Invincible - Court Flying) - Shafiq Rusof; debuts in the $10,000 Maiden 1230 metres. Trialling over 1000 metres in the fastest time of the day (59.2) on 20 March at Taupo, with Shafiq aboard, he pressed forward to force the issue three wide and drew clear with a strong gallop to win very well. A lovely type of horse with the depth of pedigree to keep improving, he appears ideally placed for a bold first up performance.
