6.25 p.m. (NZ time) R9 1 Entriviere  (5 m Tavistock - Marcey's Belt) - James McDonald; had an outstanding season winning five of her seven starts and twice finishing second. She included the Concorde Handicap (Gr. 3, 1200m), King's Plate (Gr. 3, 1200m), and ended her campaign finishing second here in the Sapphire Stakes (Gr. 2, 1200m), 17 April, with McDonald aboard - after drawing widest, being forced to sit wide, she was only narrowly beaten. In two trials since, she had plenty in the tank finishing second at Cambridge, and more recently (3 Aug.) drew clear to win handsomely at Ellerslie. Despite drawing wide (18), she rates a top four chance in the $160,000 Toy Show (Gr. 3, 1100m). NZ TAB fixed odds: $3.50 & $1.60.
