1.35 p.m. R3 1 Lightning Field (4 g Deep Field - Claudine) - Opie Bosson; has been given time (30 days) since drawing wide (10) and closing well for second in the Maiden 1200 metres on Easter Monday (5 April) at Tauranga, and steps up in the $10,000 Maiden 1400 metres. Deserved of a win, he rates a top three chance despite drawing a similar barrier.

3.59 p.m. R7 7 Excitonic (4 g Savabeel - Bint Piavonic) - Opie Bosson; ran home solidly with a notable effort for fourth when resuming in the Rating 65 1200 metres on 17 April at Hastings, and steps up in the $10,000 Rating 65 1400 metres. An emphatic second-up Maiden winner over 1400 metres and he rates a top three chance from barrier three.

3.59 p.m. R7 11 Speed of Light (3 f Proisir - Light Source) - Joe Kamaruddin (a3); hardly put a foot wrong in five starts before winning the Maiden 1600 metres on 17 February at Te Aroha. She ran on when trialling on 20 April at Cambridge, and resumes in the $10,000 Rating 65 1400 metres. With weight relief to 53.5kg, look for her finding the line.
