Te Akau Ruakaka Tuesday Preview

Te Akau Racing has two horses entered on Tuesday 14 November at Ruakaka.

Weather: fine, track: Good4, rail: out 12 metres. 10mls rain forecast Tuesday.

2:14 p.m. R3 10 Never Forgotten (3 f Fastnet Rock – Memories of You) – Warren Kennedy; she resumes in the $18,500 Maiden 1100 metres. She closed strongly down the outside to grab the win when trialling on 31 October at Te Rapa, with Kennedy aboard. She has a classy pedigree, and is bred to keep improving over more distance, but this assignment provides the opportunity for her to race well if she emulates her trial performance.

4:56 p.m. R8 8 Fay Khan It (5 m Mongolian Khan – Morgan Le Fay) – Opie Bosson; she cost herself her chance when hanging in the Rating 65 2100 metres on 4 November at Tauranga, and now has change of bit for the $18,500 Rating 60 1600 metres. Dropping in grade here, she is a previous winner at the distance, and while an improved performance can be expected, she does have to negate the wide draw disadvantage - however she has the man in the saddle to achieve that!
