7:25 p.m. (NZ) ~ 5:25 p.m. (Vic) R4 7 Scottie’s Legacy (4 m Almanzor – Kay’s Legacy) – Blake Shinn; she continued her good form when winning the Benchmark 58 1950 metres on 2 January at Yarra Valley, and contests the $55,000 Benchmark 64 2400 metres. She was given a gun ride by Karaka Millions' 3YO victor for Te Akau Blake Shinn when winning the Maiden 1600 metres on 24 November at Kilmore and finishing strongly for second in the Benchmark 64 2000 metres on 11 December at Mornington - before winning again earlier this month. She has unfortunately drawn the outside barrier (9), but rates a top three chance nonetheless. NZ TAB Fixed odds: $2.60 & $1.30.
