Te Akau New Zealand has three horses racing on Saturday 29 June: Ruakaka and Hastings.









Ruakaka:





Weather: cloudy, track: Dead6, rail: out 2 metres. No rain forecast.





3.24 p.m. R6 2 Summer Monsoon(4 g Stratum - Princess Narine) - Alysha Collett; resumed in the Rating 72 1200 metres on 8 June at Te Rapa, finishing eighth in testing conditions, and drops in grade for the $22,500 Rating 65 1200 metres. Placed at his only course attempt, when second to stable-mate Melody Belle (Commands) on debut as a two-year-old, he has drawn wide (12) but capable of an improved showing. 





4.32 p.m. R8 3 Al Haram  (6 g Sea the Stars - En Public) - Craig Grylls; won a hurdle trial on 10 June at Cambridge after finishing sixth in the Rating 82 2200 metres on 8 June at Te Rapa. He just missed winning three starts ago, but requires luck from barrier 15 in the $30,000 Rating 82 2100 metres. Fixed odds: $18.00 & $4.80.













Hastings:





Weather: fine, track: Slow7, rail: out 7 metres. No rain forecast.





1.18 p.m. R5 1 Bak Da Master(4 g Mastercraftsman - Bak Da Princess) - Ryan Elliot; followed a good second in the Rating 65 High-weight 2200 metres on 23 May at Pukekohe, finishing fourth in the Rating 65 2100 metres on 8 June at Te Rapa. Another drawn wide (15), he appears a top four contender in the $22,500 Rating 65 2200 metres with luck in running.
