Course proper (Slow):

Bronte Lass (Misbah) and Enhance (Dee) worked over 1200 metres in 1:20.9. Fog prevented timing of the last 600m. Bronte Lass (Stravinsky) is looking for reasonable footing to take up her assignment next Saturday, May 10, at either New Plymouth, or Rotorua. And the winner of two from four, Enhance (Saperavi) is set to resume in the Benchmark 65 1200 metres at New Plymouth.

Also destined for New Plymouth, Milan Miss (Miller) and Stylee (Forbes) galloped over a mile, covering the 1200m in 1:21.3, last 600m in 38.5.

Rapid Gain (Misbah) and Secret Whisper (Forbes) went over 1200 metres in 1:20.5, last 600m in 38.9. Secret Whisper (Align) has been entered to resume in the Benchmark 75 1400 metres on Wednesday, May 7, at Matamata, and Rapid Gain (Flying Spur) is looking to kick off again in the Benchmark 75 1400 metres next Saturday at Rotorua. He has recorded two of his three wins at this venue.

Flirty Gertey (Dee) and Sunset Pass (Hercock) worked over 1200 metres in 1:23.1, last 600m in 38.6. Like Bronte Lass, Flirty Gertey (Thorn Park) will take the pick of best footing when looking to resume over 1400 metres next Saturday at New Plymouth, or Rotorua. Having put in a good effort fresh up for second at New Plymouth, Sunset Pass (Yamanin Vital) is scheduled to return there next Saturday for the Benchmark 65 1800 metres.

Preparing for the jumps season, Brer (Hazlett) and Goosebumps (Miller) worked over 2000 metres to cover the 1200 metres in 1:23.8, last 600m in 41.5.

Two-Year-Old grass track:

Opulent (Richards) and 2 g Minstrel Court - Aventura (Dee) galloped over 600 metres in 37.8.

Madame Jamai (Hercock) worked over 1000 metres in 1:06, last 600m in 38.1. Fourth recently on debut, Madame Jamai (Minstrel Court) is eyeing another two-year-old race in the next ten days.

Bon Marche (Richards) and Got the Snitz (Hercock) worked over 1000 metres in 1:06, last 600m in 37.7. Both are scheduled for the Maiden 2YO 1200 metres next Saturday at New Plymouth; Bon Marche (Nom Du Jeu) on debut, and Got the Snitz (Snitzel) on the back of a very good first up effort recently at Otaki.
