Te Akau Saturday Trackwork

We were thrilled to receive the main picture from Stacey Bridgman as she joined Jason early at the track today in Queensland (pictured below)  to oversee the work of Costa Viva (main picture above) and Precious Time (second picture below with Jason) who are in the outstanding care of our Te Akau Assistant Trainer Pam Gerard.

Te Akau track work highlights - Saturday June 7
Course proper (Slow):

Preparing to race next Wednesday, June 11, at Avondale, impressive last start winner Merrily (Misbah) worked solo over 800 metres in 56.2, last 600m nicely held in 41.2.

Scheduled for the Benchmark 85 2100 metres on Saturday June 14 at Ruakaka, Milan Miss (Hercock) and Sovereign Rose (Misbah) went 1400 metres in 1:40.5, 800m in 52, last 600m in 38.8.

Also for the meeting at Ruakaka, in the Benchmark 75 1600 metres, Secret Whisper (Hercock) worked solo over 1200 metres in 1:24, 800m in 53.5, last 600m in 39.5.

Jumpers Brer (Richards) and Sunset Pass (Hercock) worked solidly from the 2000 metres before running home in 1:24.6 for the 1200m, with the final 800m in 54.2.

On the two-year-old grass track, Sequitur (Ellis) and 2 f Tavistock - Macchiato (Misbah) travelled at three-quarter pace over 800 metres.

Sand track - three-quarter pace:

Highly Likely (Hercock) worked solo over 1400 metres. Redoute's Chance (Ellis) and 3 g King's Chapel - Sea Rhythm (Misbah) went 800 metres.
