Plough:


Preparing for Rating 65 1150 metres on Tuesday at Waipa, Hysteria Lane (Lammas) worked solo over 1000m in 1:03, last 600m in 36.2. Contesting the Maiden 3YO 1400 metres at the same meeting, Our Abbadean (K. Jones) ran an easy 1200m. She clocked the 1000m in 1:04, last 600m in 38.


Osmunda (Hercock) ran 1000m in 1:05, last 600m in 38.5, ahead of racing next Saturday at Tauranga.


Plough, three-quarter pace:


Shillelagh (Price) 800m, Chambord (Price) 800m, Niamh Elizabeth (Zac-Syed) 1000m, Fas (Lammas) 800m, Sequitur (Price) 1200m, Smashing (K. Jones) and Vinevale (Lammas) 800m, Red Poppy (Lammas) 800m, Affinee (K. Preparing for the $80,000 Valachi Downs Canterbury Breeders' Stakes (Gr. 3, 1400m) on Wednesday at Riccarton, fresh up course winner Opulent (Miller) worked solo over 1200m in 1:23, last 600m in 38.4.


Two-year-old debut course winner Sassy ‘N' Smart (Miller) pleased the rider when working an easy 800m in preparation for the $50,000 Welcome Stakes (Listed, 1000m) next Saturday, NZ Cup Day, at Riccarton.


Also preparing to race Cup Day in the $300,000 1000 Guineas (Gr. 1, 1600m), Special Memories (Miller) ran an easy 1200m in 1:20 and last 600m in 38.1.


Rivals in the 1000 Guineas: Risque (Miller) was followed by Princess Davone (Ritchie) covered 1200m in 1:19 and final 600m in 38.7.
