Te Akau track work highlights - Saturday 14 May -

Plough:

Beacon of Hope (Miller) and Opulent (K. Jones) galloped 1000m in 1:05 and last 600m in 37.5, both working well, each in preparation for the Rating 75 1200 metres on Wednesday at Ruakaka.

Grazia (Leveque) and Linchpin (Ritchie) galloped 1000m in 1:03 and last 600m in 36.8, sharp work by the pair. Grazia (Savabeel) contests the Maiden 1400 metres at Ruakaka, and Linchpin (Pins) the Maiden 1600 metres on Thursday at Hastings.

Abloom (Hanafi) and Zavistic (Ritchie) ran 800m in 54, last 600m in 38.4, ahead of the Maiden 2YO 900 metres at Ruakaka.

Windborne (M. Grylls) went an easy 1000m in 1:09, last 600m in 39, with the aim: 3YO 1200 metres next Saturday at Te Rapa. Fastnet Fire (Leveque) and Stella Di Paco (Hanafi) did similar work in 1:09 and 39.6. Stella Di Paco (Paco Boy) is racing at Ruakaka, in the Rating 65 1400 metres, and Fastnet Fire (Fastnet Rock) in the Maiden 1600 metres a day later at Hastings.

Bobtail (Leveque) and Gingernuts (Miller) went an easy 1000m in 1:08.2, last 600m in 39, both preparing for the Maiden 2YO 1300 metres at Hastings.
