Te Akau track work highlights - Saturday 21 May -
Course proper (Heavy):
Interstellar (K. Jones) and Love Actually (Fawcett) went 1000m in 1:11, last 600m in 42. Talented galloper Love Actually (Swiss Ace) resumes in the Rating 65 1200 metres next Wednesday at Pukekohe, and Interstellar (Shamoline Warrior), a fresh up winner over 1200 metres at Wanganui, is aiming towards the Rating 75 1400 metres next Thursday at Otaki.
Bobtail (Leveque) and Sensitive Smile (Hanafi) covered 1000m in 1:10.1, last 600m in 42. Both two-year-olds are preparing to race next Wednesday at Pukekohe, in the Maiden 2YO 1100 metres, depending on conditions.
I See Fire (Miller) and Niamh Elizabeth (Prastiyou) ran 1000m in 1:12, last 600m in 41.5. Both horses are preparing for Otaki, in the Maiden 1600 metres and Maiden 1200 metres respectively.
Two last start winners on slow footing, Rocksun (Ritchie) and Royal Success (Miller) ran 1000m in 1:10.3, last 600m in 40.2. Both are preparing to race within the next week.
Cabaret (Leveque) and Ebony Star (Fawcett) went 800m in 55.6, last 600m in 40.7.
Sand track:
2 f Showcasing - Real Success (Leveque) and 2 f Pins - Lillet (Miller) worked together over 800m in 53.8, last 600m in 37.4, which was pleasing work.
Sand track, three-quarter pace:
Gardenier (Miller) was followed by Christine Louise (K. Jones) over 1000m in 1:14, last 600m in 43.8.
2 g Darci Brahma - Amaryllis (Prastiyou) and 2 g Duporth - All Our Chips (Ritchie) went 600m in 44.
