Te Akau track work highlights - Saturday 16 July -

Course Proper (reserve direction) - Heavy:


Chadsdale (Lammas) and Astrid (K. Jones) prepared to race next Saturday, by working over 800 metres in 54.1, last 600 in 40.2.


Niamh Elizabeth (Lammas) worked on her own over 1000 metres in 1.12, covering her last 600 metres in 40. She is on target for the Rating 65 1200 metre event at Matamata on Wednesday.


No.2 Sand - slushy:


Lady Amadeus (K.Jones) and Discretely Red (K. Price) covered 800 metres in 56, last 600 metres in 41. Love Triangle (Fawcett) ran 600 metres in 39.


Scrutinize (Pinn) followed by Zambezi Warrior (Noorman) worked over 1000 metres in 1.10.4.


Heroic Valour (Shailer) worked well over 800 metres in 1.01, last 600 in 44. Xtravagant (K. Jones) impressed co-trainer Steve Autridge, working over 800 metres in 56, last 600 in 40.  Both Group One winning colts are right on track for good spring campaigns.


Savabeel colt Hall Of Fame (Noorman) worked stylishly over 800 metres in 57, running his last 600 in 40.2.


Two-year-olds O'Reilly Star (Fawcett) and Sassy ‘N' Smart (K. Jones) covered 800 metres in 55, last 600 in 40, the pair were followed by 2f Redwood - Volks Princess (Lammas).


Wide Awake (Shailer) worked in company with Beaumarchais (Noorman) over 800 metres in 59.9, last 600 in 40.


Corporate Missile (Fawcett) and Tiffany's Time (Hillis) worked an easy 800 metres and both impressed their riders. Pour Moi filly Leonessa (K. Price) ran an easy 800 metres in 53, last 600 in 39.


Promising three-year-old filly Our Abbadean (K. Jones) was paired with O'Know (Lammas), they ran 800 metres in 58, covering their last 600 in 43.8. Dame Margo Fonteyn (K. Price) and O'Naturelle (Lammas) worked stylishly over 800 metres in 56, last 600 in 41.


All-Weather:


A group of yearlings preparing for the Te Teko trials on August 2 worked over 600 metres at three-quarter pace. Remington (Noorman), Cousteau (Pinn) and Wandering Eye (Shailer) covered the ground in 45.5. Pacific Coast (Shailer), Seirios (Noorman) and Silver Missile (K.Price) ran the 600 metres in 45.8.
