Matamata Course Proper:


Wentwood Grange owned Our Abbadean (Fawcett) was partnered with the Savabeel colt Hall Of Fame (McNab) , that pair was followed by O'Know (M. Grylls)  over 1000 metres. They ran 800 metres in 53.4, last 600 in 39.8. All three are scheduled to run next Saturday - Our Abbadean (Lookin At Lucky) and O'Know (O'Reilly) head to Ruakaka, while Hall Of Fame travels to Hastings.


The remaining gallops on the course proper were horses preparing for their second trial at Te Teko on Thursday 25 August, they included: Zambezi Warrior (McNab) and Sassy ‘N' Smart (M. Grylls) ran 800 metres in 52.4, last 600 in 38.75.


Affinee (Fawcett) worked on her own over 800 metres, she sprinted home her last 600 metres in 39.5.


Tiffany's Time (McNab) worked in company with 3f Redwood - Volks Princess (M. Grylls) over 800 metres. The pair covered the ground in 52.7, coming home their last 600 in 39.6.


Unfazed (R. Jones) with Dame Margo Fonteyn (Fawcett) worked 800 metres in 52.9, last 600 in 40.1


No. 2 Sand:


Wide Awake (McNab) and Lucy Wyldstyle (Fawcett) worked over 800 metres in 52, last 600 in 37.5. Imperium (Leveque) worked with the three-year-old King Kane (McNab) over half a mile in 51, they ran their last 600 in 37.3.


Silverdale (Shailer) worked at three-quarter pace over 800 metres, the seven-year-old ran his last 600 in 44.5. Rocksun (Shailer) also ran 800 metres in similar time.


Paradise Rock (Leveque) on his own, worked over 1000 metres in 1.07, last 600 in 38.7.


The Chaser (K. Price) was paired with Maleficent (M. Grylls) worked 800 metres at three-quarter pace in 45.5.


O'Reilly Star (Fawcett) was partnered by Discretely Red (M. Grylls) over 800 metres, they ran it in 59.8, last 600 in 44.6.


Madam Monica (Fawcett) and Kuisan (M. Grylls) covered 800 metres in 1.00.1, last 600 in 44.7.


All-weather:


Cloudburst (McNab), 2f Rock ‘N' Pop - Princess Caga (M. Grylls) & 2f Burgundy - Eclectic Heights (Fawcett) ran 600 metres in 44.9. All three two-year-olds are being prepared to have their first trial at Cambridge on 8 September.
