Plough:

Ahead of the Benchmark 65 2000 metres next Wednesday, Dec. 18, on her home course at Matamata, Exabelle (Lang - pictured below) worked over a mile. She covered the last 1200 metres in 1:19.4, 600m in 37.3.

Aspen (Lang - below) and Stylee (Dee - second picture below on left with Aspen) ran 1200 metres in 1:16.4 and finished off in 36.3 for the final 600m. Aspen is gearing up to race over the Christmas/New Year period at Ellerslie, while having made good ground for third when resuming Stylee contests the Benchmark 65 1600 metres at Matamata.

Three-quarter pace:

Costa Viva (Myers) worked solo at three-quarter pace over 1000 metres in preparation for the Eight Carat Classic (Gr. 2, 1600m) on Boxing Day at Ellerslie. Ahead of the Great Northern Guineas (Gr. 2, 1600m) on the same day, All Decked Out (Dee) went 1200 metres. Unbeaten in three starts, O'Darci (Lang - pictured below)) worked over 1000 metres.

Being readied for the Benchmark 85 1400 metres on Boxing Day at Ellerslie, stakes winning mare Abidewithme (Dee) worked covered 1000 metres.

Enhance (Dee - below left) and Flirty Gertey (Lang - below right) went together over 1000 metres. Enhance races next Saturday, Dec. 21, in the 3YO 1400 metres at Awapuni, and last start winner Flirty Gertey returns to the same venue for the Eight Carat Classic (Gr. 2, 1600m) on Boxing Day at Ellerslie.

Last start winner Stanica Star (Dee) went over 1000 metres, Cold Snap (Dee - pictured below) worked solo over 800 metres and My Fiancée (Lang) quickened up over the final 600 metres in three-quarter pace work from the 800m.
