Te Akau Seymour Thursday Preview

Te Akau Racing has two horses entered on Thursday 11 June at Seymour (Victoria).

Seymour:

Weather: showers, track: Soft7, rail: true. 5mls rain forecast Wednesday and no rain Thursday.

3:00 p.m. (NZ) - 1:00 p.m. (Vic) R1 7 Koko (3 f Written Tycoon – Tawteen) – Lachlan Neindorf; she remained well held together in a quiet jump out on 1 June at Cranbourne, also with Neindorf aboard, and resumes in the A$42,500 Maiden 3YO 1000 metres. She’s a filly with a good pedigree, has been consistent with two seconds and a fourth from four starts, and she ideally drawn (5) to race well first-up, with a win looking likely this campaign. NZ TAB fixed odds: $4.20 & $1.50.

6:30 p.m. (NZ) - 4:30 p.m. (Vic) R8 1 In Haste (3 f Snitzel – Prompt) – Liana Wood (a4); she has been given time (42 days) since last racing, and sadly missed racing at Geelong last week after the meeting was abandoned due to bad weather conditions. She looked good finishing second in a jump out on 18 May at Cranbourne, and contests the a$35,000 Benchmark 62 1000 metres. She is a well bred and talented filly, with two wins and finishing twice second from four starts, including running second in Group 3 Gold Trail Stakes (1200m), when trained from the Te Akau stable in Matamata. The apprentice engagement brings her weight relief to 59kg, she has been a winner on soft and heavy going, and is handily drawn (6) to make an impact. NZ TAB fixed odds: $9.00 & $2.70.
