Te Akau Singapore Friday Preview

Te Akau horses racing at Kranji racecourse in Singapore, where 2015 and 2017 Premiership winning trainer Mark Walker has recorded 38 wins, 53 second and 45 third placings since 1 January - including a Group 1 quinella in the Charity Bowl to add to the season's two Group 2 victories.  He currently lies fourth on the Trainers' Premiership.

11.50 p.m. R2 7 Clarton Star (3 g Highly Recommended - Annabel Rose) - Ismail Azhar; drew barrier 8 of 10 in the $85,000 Restricted Maiden 1400 metres on turf and carries 52kgs. He needs to improve on his first up run, but is suited stepping to 1400 metres and rates a place chance.

12.20 a.m. R3 4 Sacred Sea (5 g Sea the Stars - Gipsy Countess) - Ryan Curatolo; drew the outside barrier (9) in the $45,000 Class 4 1800 metres on the poly track and carries 56kgs. He is racing in good form and is a bit unlucky not to have won - he rates a top four chance.

12.50 a.m. R4 3 Sacred Tonic (4 g Pour Moi - Fairy Tipsy) - Vlad Duric; drew barrier 8 of 12 in the $20,000 Maiden 1400 metres on turf and carries 57.5kgs. A top four chance after he ran an encouraging fourth at his first start in Singapore.  One of two in the race for Mark Walker.

12.50 a.m. R4 12 Analyst (3 g Darci Brahma - Pins ‘N' Needles) - Noresh Juglall; drew barrier 2 of 12 in the $20,000 Maiden 1400 metres on turf and carries 57.5kgs. Disappointed first up, but has a senior ride aboard - he still however needs to improve.

1.55 a.m. R6 2 Lim's Rhythm (4 g Rock ‘N' Pop - Paixanito) - Vlad Duric; drew barrier 1 of 10 in the $20,000 Maiden 1400 metres on turf and carries 57.5kgs. He went a nice race first up, 1400 metres suits, and he presents as a top four chance.  The first of two runners here for the stable.

1.55 a.m. R6 6 Cloudburst (4 g Pour Moi - November Rain) - Ryan Curatolo; drew barrier 6 of 10 in the $20,000 Maiden 1400 metres on turf and carries 57.5kgs. He can improve with blinkers on to rate a place chance, but is bred for more distance which he is building towards.

2.25 a.m. R7 3 Storm Trooper (7 g Tavistock - Shock) - Razali Zawari (a1); drew barrier 2 of 12 in the $38,000 Kranji D 1400 metres on turf and carries 58kgs. The race looks suitable for him to rate a top four chance.

3.00 a.m. R8 4 Dazzling Speed (4 g Guillotine - Dazzling Belle) - Ryan Curatolo; drew barrier 11 of 12 in the $45,000 Class 4 1200 metres on turf and carries 56.5kgs. He did disappoint first up over 1000 metres, so blinkers go on, and he rates a top five chance in this event with a trio of stable representatives.

3.00 a.m. R8 8 Heartlight (4 g Any Suggestion - Cross Quarry) - Vlad Duric; drew barrier 8 of 12 in the $45,000 Class 4 1200 metres on turf and carries 55.5kgs. He got his tongue over the bit last time, so a tongue tie goes on, and he looks a top five chance with some give in the ground.

3.00 a.m. R8 12 Sacred Guru (5 g Savabeel - Biriyani) - Alysha Collett; drew barrier 6 of 12 in the $45,000 Class 4 1200 metres on turf and carries 54.5kgs. He has been freshened but needs to improve on his first preparation.
