Te Akau Singapore Friday Preview

Te Akau horses racing at Kranji racecourse in Singapore, where 2015 and 2017 Premiership winning trainer Mark Walker has recorded 40 wins, 55 second and 45 third placings since 1 January - including a Group 1 quinella in the Charity Bowl to add to the season's two Group 2 victories.  He currently lies fourth on the Trainers' Premiership.

11.50 p.m. R2 3 Broadway Success (3 g Alamosa - Broadway Express) - Vlad Duric; drew barrier 10 of 12 in the $85,000 Restricted Maiden 1200 metres on turf and carries 57kgs. From a difficult barrier draw he appears a place chance with some luck - the man to attempt to negate the awkward draw is in the saddle.  One of three in the event for Mark Walker.

11.50 p.m. R2 4 Clarton Palace (3 g Minstrel Court - Zabba) - Ismail Azhar; drew barrier 4 of 12 in the $85,000 Restricted Maiden 1200 metres on turf and carries 57kgs. The second of the Walker trio is on debut in this event but needs more distance.

11.50 p.m. R2 6 Lim's Rebound (3 g O'Reilly - Best Command) - Ryan Curatolo; drew barrier 1 of 12 in the $85,000 Restricted Maiden 1200 metres on turf and carries 57kgs. The final of the stable trio likewise will appreciate more distance in due course.

12.50 a.m. R4 1 Heart of Courage (4 g Fastnet Rock - Myrrh) - Razali Zawari (a1); drew barrier 7 of 9 in the $20,000 Maiden 1200 metres on turf and carries 56kgs.  A brother to Group 1 winner Heroic Valour, who now stands at stud, he is having his first start in Singapore and is an individual that shapes to appreciate more distance.

1.20 a.m. R5 5 O'Reilly Star (5 g O'Reilly - Starbelly) - Ryan Curatolo; drew barrier 10 of 12 in the $45,000 Class 4 2000 metres on turf and carries 55kgs. He won determinedly last start, but meets a tougher field tonight - he presents as a place chance, especially with any rain.

1.55 a.m. R6 1 Distinctive Darci (5 g Darci Brahma - Distinctive Lass) - CK Ng (a3); drew barrier 10 of 12 in the $125,000 Kranji A 1400 metres on turf and carries 56.5kgs. He is a better horse on the poly track, but a lack of suitable races sees him on turf.  The first of three in the event for the stable.

1.55 a.m. R6 3 Elite Invincible (4 g Archarcharch - Dough on the Go) - Vlad Duric; drew barrier 5 of 12 in the $125,000 Kranji A 1400 metres on turf and carries 56.5kgs. The second for the stable in this race is enjoying good form and he rates a top four chance.

1.55 a.m. R6 8 Viviano (7 g Keeper - Flying Florence) - Ryan Curatolo; drew barrier 11 of 12 in the $125,000 Kranji A 1400 metres on turf and carries 55kgs. The third for Mark Walker is a tough veteran and if any rain came, he would rate a top four chance.

2.25 a.m. R7 3 Ancient Warrior (6 g Iffraaj - Nuance) - CK Ng (a3); drew barrier 11 of 12 in the $80,000 Class 3 1400 metres on turf and carries 53.5kgs. This is another event that sees three stable representatives line up - the first does require a drop back to Class 4 to be more competitive.

2.25 a.m. R7 4 Justice Glory (4 m Fastnet Rock - Tavarnelle) - Ryan Curatolo; drew barrier 5 of 12 in the $80,000 Class 3 1400 metres on turf and carries 56.5kgs. A well bred filly who likewise would appreciate a drop back to Class 4.

2.25 a.m. R7 10 Atlantic Fox (5 g Savabeel - Kinsella) - MM Firdaus (a1); drew barrier 4 of 12 in the $80,000 Class 3 1400 metres on turf and carries 55kgs. A nice staying horse on debut in Singapore tonight - the final runner in this for Mark Walker rates a place over the shorter trip.

3.00 a.m. R8 13 Success Come True (5 m Alamosa - Falaniella) - CK Ng (a3); first emergency, drew barrier 4 of 12 in the $45,000 Class 4 1200 metres on the poly track and carries 49.5kgs.  He is unlikely to make the field.
