Te Akau Singapore Friday Preview

Te Akau horses racing at Kranji racecourse in Singapore, where 2015 and 2017 Premiership winning trainer Mark Walker has recorded 45 wins, 62 second and 51 third placings since 1 January - including a Group 1 quinella in the Charity Bowl and and victory in the Group 1 Singapore Gold Cup glory - to add to the season's two Group 2 victories.  He currently lies fourth on the Trainers' Premiership.

Friday 23 November 2018

11.50 p.m. R2 5 Analyst (3 g Darci Brahma - Pins ‘N' Needles) - CK Ng (a3); draws midfield barrier 5 of 10 in the $20,000 Restricted Maiden 1100 metres on the poly track and carries 52kgs. He needs to improve on what he has shown so far and requires Class 5 - one of two in the event for Mark Walker.

11.50 p.m. R2 6 Clarton Star (3 g Highly Recommended - Annabel Rose) - Ismail Azhar; will jump from gate eight in the same race and carries 52kgs. He too needs to improve on what he has shown so far and requires Class 5 to be more competitive.

1.20 a.m. R5 12 Time to Rock (5 m Time Thief - Six O'clock Rock) - CK Ng (a3); another race where the stable lines up a duo, with the first of the team drawing awkwardly at gate 9 of 12 in the $80,000 Class 3 1100 metres on the poly track, but with only 48.5kgs on her back.  She has been somewhat disappointing in this grade and requires a drop back to Class 4.

1.20 a.m. R5 13 Cousteau (4 g Exceed and Excel - Maritime) - rider unfixed; is ballot one and unlikely to gain a start in the $80,000 Class 3 1100 metres on the poly track, but also requires a drop back to Class 4.

2.25 a.m. R7 9 Justice Glory (4 m Fastnet Rock - Tavarnelle) - Ismail Azhar; will break from barrier 10 of 12 in the $80,000 Class 3 1100 metres on the poly track and carries 52kgs. Unfortunately she has drawn wide, making this a difficult task -  she too will be better placed back in Class 4 company.

3.00 a.m. R8 2 Dazzling Speed (4 g Guillotine - Dazzling Belle) - Razali Zawari (a1); another with a wide draw - in fact the outside barrier (12) in the $45,000 Class 4 1200 metres on the poly track and carries 56kgs. No luck draw-wise and he will be better suited with a drop back in class to Kranji D.
