Te Akau Singapore has seven horses racing on Friday 11 January at Kranji.  With two wins to his credit this season, Te Akau trainer Mark Walker lies in second place on the Trainers' Premiership.

 

11.50 p.m. R2 2 Another Show (3 g Showcasing - Tiaralae) - Vlad Duric; draws barrier 7 of 14 in the $75,000 Restricted Maiden 1200 metres on the turf and carries 57kgs. He has improved for a break and presents as a top four contender.

12.20 a.m. R3 1 Ancient Warrior (6 g Iffraaj - Nuance) - Vlad Duric; draws out unfortunately at barrier 11 of 12 in the $50,000 Class 4 1100 metres on the polytrack and carries 58.5kgs.  He will appreciate the drop back to Class 4, but the tricky draw compounds his chances - place chance due to the gate.

12.50 a.m. R4 6 Venus De Milo (4 m Burgundy - Breezed) - Nooresh Juglall; will jump from gate 5 of 12 in the $30,000 Class 5 1600 metres on the polytrack and carries 55kgs. She finds a suitable race to rate an each way chance.

1.20 a.m. R5 3 First Light (5 g Duporth - All Our Chips) - Vlad Duric; another to draw out (10 of 12) for the $38,000 Kranji D 1200 metres on polytrack and carries 58kgs. He has disappointed of late and needs to improve.

1.55 a.m. R6 10 O'Reilly Star (5 g O'Reilly - Starbelly) - Razali Zawari (a1); will break from barrier 8 of 13 in the $50,000 Class 4 1400metres on the turf and carries 54.5kgs. He requires more distance to make his presence felt.

2.25 a.m. R7 5 Augustus (4 g Snitzel - Gussy Godiva) - Razali Zawari (a1); draws barrier 8 of 14 in the $70,000 Kranji C 1400 metres on the turf and carries 57kgs. A winner of three races up to 1900 metres in Australia, and fourth in the Queensland Derby (Gr. 1, 2200m) before arriving in Singapore, he needs more distance - this race a stepping stone.

3.00 a.m. R8 9 Cloudburst (4 g Pour Moi - November Rain) - Razali Zawari (a1); will break from gate 11 of 14 in the $50,000 Class 4 1400 metres on the turf and carries 54kgs. He too requires more distance to make a major impact - this too a stepping stone.
