Te Akau Singapore Friday Preview

Te Akau Singapore has seven horses racing on Friday 25 January at Kranji. Mark Walker currently lies second on the Trainers' Premiership - there is no meeting on Sunday.

11.20 p.m. R1 3 Spokesman (4 g Alamosa - Panthera) -
Vlad Duric; drew barrier 2 of 12 in the $30,000 Class 5 1000 metres on the poly
track and carries 59kgs. An improver and even though 1000 metres is too short
he rates a top four chance.

11.50 p.m. R2 1 Cloudburst (4 g Pour Moi - November Rain) - Senari Noh (a2); drew barrier 11 of 12 in the $38,000 Kranji D 1400 metres on turf and carries 56kgs. Difficult draw to overcome, place chance. The first of two runners in the event for Mark Walker.

11.50 p.m. R2 8 First Light (5 g Duporth - All Our
Chips) - Vlad Duric; drew barrier 7 of 12 in the $38,000 Kranji D 1400 metres on
turf and carries 56.5kgs. Barrier manners can let him down, but rates a top
four chance if he begins well.

12.20 a.m. R3 6 Storm Trooper (7 g Tavistock - Shock) -
Glen Boss; drew barrier 6 of 11 in the $50,000 Class 4 1400 metres on turf and
carries 55.5kgs. Expected to run very well fresh-up over 1400 metres and a top
four chance.

1.20 a.m. R5 3 Augustus (4 g Snitzel - Gussy Godiva) -
Glen Boss; drew barrier 4 of 12 in the $70,000 Kranji C 1600 metres on turf and
carries 56.5kgs. Pleased to see a good draw and the benefit of experienced
rider Glen Boss, to rate a top four chance.

1.55 a.m. R6 6 Venus De Milo (4 m Burgundy - Breezed)
- Nooresh Juglall; drew barrier 2 of 11 in the $30,000 Class 5 1600 metres on
the poly track and carries 57.5kgs. A last start winner of the corresponding
race, carrying 55kgs with this jockey aboard, not big but tries her heart out
and a top four chance.

3.00 a.m. R8 10 O'Reilly Star (5 g O'Reilly -
Starbelly) - Razali Zawari (a1); drew barrier 2 of 12 in the $50,000 Class 4 1400metres
on turf and carries 55kgs. He will be better placed back in grade.
