Te Akau Singapore Friday Preview

Te Akau Singapore has six horses racing on Friday 12 April at Kranji. 

Te Akau Singapore trainer Mark Walker leads the Trainers' Premiership by four wins with 20 wins - as well as 25 second and 17 third place-getters.

12.45 a.m. R3 2 Success Come True (5 m Alamosa - Falaniella) - Nik Bakar (a4); drew barrier 7 of 11 in the $30,000 Class 5 1000 metres on the poly track and carries 55.5kgs. She won last start in this grade over 1200 metres and with weight relief she rates a top four chance. One of two in the event for Mark Walker.

12.45 a.m. R3 8 Gridiron (4 g Captain Gerard - Natural Lil) - Benny Woodworth; drew barrier 5 of 11 in the $30,000 Class 5 1000 metres on the poly track and carries 52.5kgs. His rider is winning plenty of races for the stable and the four year old is ideally drawn (5) in a suitable race to present as a top four contender.

1.45 a.m. R5 5 Venus De Milo (4 m Burgundy - Breezed) - Nik Bakar (a4); drew barrier 10 of 11 in the $30,000 Class 5 1600 metres on the poly track and carries 55.5kgs. Awkwardly drawn (10), but she does have weight relief with the Te Akau apprentice recently arrived from New Zealand with a very good winning strike rate. She rates a top four chance with luck in running.

2.15 a.m. R6 6 Sacred Rebel (4 g Sepoy - Pandoro De Lago) - Benny Woodworth; drew the outside barrier (12) in the $70,000 Class 3 1100 metres on the poly track and carries 55kgs. He will be ridden patiently from the draw (12) and a strong pace could see him running into proceedings as a top four chance.

2.45 a.m. R7 5 Viviano (7 g Keeper - Flying Florence) - Benny Woodworth; drew barrier 11 of 12 in the $85,000 Class 2 1600 metres on the poly track and carries 55kgs. He will settle back in the field, is racing in good form and looks a top four contender. The first of two in the event for the stable.

2.45 a.m. R7 9 Kingsman (5 g Darci Brahma - Society Lady) - MM Firdaus (a1); drew barrier 4 of 12 in the $85,000 Class 2 1600 metres on the poly track and carries 51.5kgs. Blinkers off, with a light weight, he is ideally drawn (4) but meets a strong field in this class.
