Te Akau Singapore Friday Preview
Te Akau horses racing at Kranji Racecourse in Singapore, where 2015 Trainers' Premiership winner Mark Walker again leads the Trainers' Premiership by two wins  - now with 34 wins since 1 January.

Friday 13 May

10.20 p.m. R1 2 MISS WAIMATAITAI - Shafiq Rusof; draws one from the outside in the Class 5 1400m in the 11 horse field and carries 57kgs for Te Akau's former two time champion apprentice. She steps to 1400m on the back of a good effort last start but it is just a shame she has drawn so wide with the rail in the outer-most position. She is in good form but will need luck from the barrier - rates a top five chance.

11.50 p.m. R4 4 STAR GENIUS - Alan Munro; draws perfectly with the ace in this nine horse field and will carry 55kgs.  One of two in this race for Mark Walker, she has won two from three since joining the stable and is in great form - a top four chance.

11.50 p.m. R4 5 LADY IFFRAAJ - Oscar ChavezS; the second of Te Akau's runners, draws gate six and also carries 55kgs. The daughter of the very talented Naturo, she has relished her move to Singapore and while her best form is on the poly, this race suits her - a place chance.

12.20 a.m. (Saturday) R5 1 APPELLATION - Shafiq Rusof; a nice draw (5) in this Class 5 on the turf short course E but the joint top weight of 58.5kgs for the honest campaigner.  Despite the top weight he has found a suitable race with a good draw and he rates a top four chance.

12.50 a.m. (Saturday) R6 8 CLERMONT CLUB - App CK Ng (a3); with the apprentice claim, he carries just 47.5kgs and has drawn well at two. Lining up in this Class 4 1100m on the poly, he does need to drop back to Class 5 to show his best and be competitive.

1.20 a.m. (Saturday) R7 2 INDIAN JADE - Alan Munro; the first of two stable runners in the Open Benchmark 89 over 1100m on the poly, he has fdrawn barrier seven and carries 57.5kgs. Two nice runs back from a bleeding attack, he strikes a very strong field - a top five chance.

1.20 a.m. (Saturday) R7 11 TURQUOISE KING - S Anandan; has drawn out in the same S$100,000 event (12 of 12) but is weighted at just 51kgs. This race looks a touch hard for him but there is a suitable race scheduled in three weeks' time.
