Te Akau Singapore Friday Preview

Te Akau Singapore has ten horses racing on Friday 5 July at Kranji.   Te Akau Singapore trainer Mark Walker is well ahead on the Trainers' Premiership with 46 wins for the season (which is just over half way through) - a lead of 14 wins.

10.50 p.m. R2 1 Lord of Light (4 g Power - Danwood) - MM Firdaus (a1); drew barrier 1 of 12 in the $20,000 Maiden 1200 metres on turf and carries 56.5kgs. He resumes from a spell due to a tendon injury and will improve for the run.  One of two in the race for Mark Walker.

10.50 p.m. R2 8 Dee Mak Mak  (3 g O'Reilly - Best Command) - Harry Kasim; drew barrier 9 of 12 in the $20,000 Maiden 1200 metres on turf and carries 57kgs. He had time off following knee surgery and also will improve for the run.

11.20 p.m. R3 2 Fulife Brilliance(3 g Van Nistelrooy - Holy Sunset) - Benny Woodworth; drew barrier 9 of 12 in the $50,000 Class 4 1100 metres on the poly track and carries 59kgs. Tricky barrier draw (9) to contend with but he has the right man in the saddle to do so - a top five chance.

11.50 p.m. R4 4 Cloudburst  (4 g Pour Moi - November Rain) - Benny Woodworth; drew the outside barrier (12) in the $30,000 Class 5 1700 metres on the poly track and carries 57.5kgs. He rates a place chance from a wide gate (12).

12.20 a.m. R5 8 Lim's Rhythm  (4 g Rock ‘N' Pop - Paixanito) - Benny Woodworth; drew barrier 11 of 13 in the $50,000 Class 4 1600 metres on turf and carries 53kgs. He has disappointed and needs to improve.

12.50 a.m. R6 1 Clarton Star (3 g Highly Recommended - Annabel Rose) - Wahab Syahir (a3); drew barrier 11 of 12 in the $30,000 Class 5 1700 metres on the poly track and carries 57kgs. He rates a place chance with luck from a wide draw (11).

1.20 a.m. R7 5 Nova Vocal (4 g Vocalised - Tense) - Ismail Azhar; drew the outside barrier (12) in the $70,000 Class 3 1100 metres on the poly track and carries 57.5kgs. Yet another stable runner with a terrible draw (12) - he rates a place chance but needs plenty of luck.

1.50 a.m. R8 13 Black Quail (5 g Coats Choice - Sefidi) - Razali Zawari (a1); drew barrier 11 of 14 in the $50,000 Class 4 1200 metres on turf and carries 55kgs. Another with a difficult draw (11) - with any luck in the running, he can present as a place chance.

2.20 a.m. R9 4 Axel  (3 g Darci Brahma - Josephines Fortune) - Benny Woodworth; drew the outside barrier (14) in the $50,000 Class 4 1400 metres on turf and carries 57.5kgs. Racing in very good form, winning two of his last four, but horribly drawn (14) and rates a place chance.  The first of two for the stable in this event.

2.20 a.m. R9 11 Clarton Palace (3 g Minstrel Court - Zabba) - Ismail Azhar; drew barrier 8 of 14 in the $50,000 Class 4 1400 metres on turf and carries 53kgs. Up in class after consecutive wins, he finished fourth last time and can feature in the finish.
