Te Akau Singapore Friday Preview
4 October, 2019
Te Akau Singapore has ten horses racing on Friday 4 October at Kranji. Trainer Mark Walker leads the premiership by 18, with 64 wins this year.
12.20 a.m. R3 3 Win Mak Mak (4 g Excelebration - Elusive Desire) - Nik Bakar (a3); drew barrier 11 of 12 in the $50,000 Class 4 1000 metres on the poly track and carries 54kgs. He cops a difficult draw (11) but has a ton of speed to rate a top four contender.
12.50 a.m. R4 1 Prince Pegasus (6 g Beneteau - Sassy Peg) - Nik Bakar (a3); drew the outside barrier (12) in the $30,000 Class 5 1600 metres on the poly track and carries 56kgs. Another with a terrible draw (12), but he finds a weaker race and has top four prospects.
1.20 a.m. R5 1 Keng Mak Mak (6 g Red Giant - Celtic Class) - Harry Kasim; drew barrier 6 of 12 in the $50,000 Class 4 1200 metres on the poly track and carries 59kgs. He requires more distance.
1.50 a.m. R6 1 Broadway Success (4 g Alamosa - Broadway Express) - Nik Bakar (a3); drew barrier 2 of 9 in the $30,000 Class 5 1200 metres on turf and carries 56kgs. He rates a strong top four chance in a field where Mark Walker lines up two runners.
1.50 a.m. R6 2 Cloudburst (5 g Pour Moi - November Rain) - Razali Zawari (a1); drew the outside (9) barrier 9 of 12 in the $30,000 Class 5 1200 metres on turf and carries 58kgs. He requires more distance.
2.20 a.m. R7 2 Lim's Rhythm (5 g Rock ‘N' Pop - Paixanito) - Benny Woodworth; drew barrier 9 of 12 in the $30,000 Class 5 1600 metres on the poly track and carries 59kgs. Unpredictable, but he is capable of a good performance. The first of three in the event for the trainer.
2.20 a.m. R7 3 Atlantic Fox (6 g Savabeel - Kinsella) - Nik Bakar (a3); drew barrier 5 of 12 in the $30,000 Class 5 1600 metres on the poly track and carries 55.5kgs. A bit of a head-scratcher, but he has more gear changes (blinker/pacifiers on) and looking for improvement.
2.20 a.m. R7 5 O'Reilly Star (6 g O'Reilly - Starbelly) - CK Ng (a3); drew barrier 7 of 12 in the $30,000 Class 5 1600 metres on the poly track and carries 55.5kgs. Racing consistently and he rates a top four chance.
3.20 a.m. R9 1 Altair (4 g Zoustar - Rossarita) - Benny Woodworth; drew barrier 7 of 12 in the $50,000 Class 4 1200 metres on the poly track and carries 59kgs. He carries the top weight but should still prove hard to beat.
3.20 a.m. R9 13 Pearl King (7 g Iffraaj - Nuance) - CK Ng (a3); drew barrier 6 of 12 in the $50,000 Class 4 1200 metres on the poly track and carries 48kgs. Sitting one on the ballot, he could be unlikely to make the field.
