11.50 p.m. R1 1 Aabir (5 g O'Reilly - Neraan) - Rawali Zawari (a1); drew barrier 9 of 11 in the $30,000 Class 5 1100 metres on the poly track and carries 58kgs. He is somewhat unpredictable, but he trialled nicely and rates a top four chance.
12.50 a.m. R3 6 Amazing Choice (5 g Shocking - Choices Are) - Benny Woodworth; drew barrier 5 of 8 in the $50,000 Class 4 1200 metres on turf and carries 51.5kgs. He will be better over more distance, but he has top four prospects if it rains. The first of two in the event for Mark Walker.
12.50 a.m. R3 8 Heart of Courage (5 g Fastnet Rock - Myrrh) - JP Van der Merwe; drew barrier 4 of 8 in the $50,000 Class 4 1200 metres on turf and carries 50kgs. Good fourth last start, but it is questionable if he can win in Class 4 and may need to drop a grade to again make his presence felt.

Van der Merwe; drew barrier 1 of 8 in the $50,000 Class 4 1200 metres on turf
