Te Akau Singapore has three horses racing on Friday 17 January at Kranji. Trainer Mark Walker ended last season (Dec. 8) with 73 wins to claim his third title as Singapore Champion Trainer, and leads the way with six wins this year.
11.50 p.m. R1 4 Prince Pegasus (6 g Beneteau - Sassy Peg) - Benny Woodworth; drew barrier 2 of 9 in the $30,000 Class 5 1200 metres on the poly track and carries 58.5kgs. Distance short of his best, but he rates a top four prospect.
11.50 p.m. R1 8 Red Riding Wood (6 g Redwood -
Dreamcatcher) - Hakim Kamaruddin (a4); drew barrier 7 of 9 in the $30,000 Class
5 1200 metres on the poly track and carries 54kgs. He needs more distance.
3.20 a.m. R8 3 Bejewelled (5 g Minstrel Court -
Diamond Jules) - Hakim Kamaruddin (a4); drew barrier 6 of 12 in the $50,000
Class 4 1100 metres on the poly track and carries 50kgs. Good first-up
performance for third and he rates a top four chance.
