Te Akau Singapore Friday Preview

Te Akau Singapore has eight horses racing on Friday 31 January at Kranji. Trainer Mark Walker ended last season (Dec. 8) with 73 wins to claim his third title as Singapore Champion Trainer, and leads the way with 11 wins this year.

11.50 p.m. R1 1 Atlantic Fox (6 g Savabeel - Kinsella) - C K Ng (a3); drew the outside barrier (9) in the $30,000 Class 5 1200 metres on turf and carries 56kgs. He is better over more distance, but rates a place chance with luck from the draw (9).

11.50 p.m. R1 3 Black Quail (6 g Coats Choice - Sefidi)
- Vlad Duric; drew barrier 4 of 9 in the $30,000 Class 5 1200 metres on turf
and carries 58.5kgs. He drops back to 1200 metres and rates a top four chance
from barrier four.

12.20 a.m. R2 1 Brutus (3 g Rubick - Harvest Queen) - Benny Woodworth; drew the outside barrier (13) in the $75,000 Restricted Maiden 1000 metres on the poly track and carries 57kgs. He has a tough draw (13) to overcome, but is racing well and rates a top four propsect with luck.

2.20 a.m. R6 3 Sacred Rebel (5 g Sepoy - Pandoro De Lago) - Vlad Duric; drew the outside barrier (10) in the $85,000 Class 2 1100 metres on the poly track and carries 56.5kgs. He was caught wide last time and rates an each way chance with luck from a wide draw (10).

2.20 a.m. R6 10 Sacred Don (5 g Fastnet Rock - Donatella) - C K Ng (a3); drew barrier 7 of 10 in the $85,000 Class 2 1100 metres on the poly track and carries 47kgs. He has improved for his fresh-up run and carries a light weight.

2.50 a.m. R7 4 Red Riding Wood (6 g Redwood - Dreamcatcher)
- Hakim Kamaruddin (a4); drew barrier 5 of 12 in the $30,000 Class 5 1700
metres on the poly track and carries 53.5kgs. He steps up in distance but does
meet quite a strong field.

3.20 a.m. R8 7 Bejewelled (5 g Minstrel Court -
Diamond Jules) - Ismail Azhar; drew barrier 4 of 12 in the $50,000 Class 4 1100
metres on the poly track and carries 53kgs. Ideally drawn (4), he rates a top
four contender.
