Te Akau Singapore Friday Preview

Te Akau Singapore has six horses racing on Friday 21 February at Kranji - this is the only Kranji meeting for the weekend. Te Akau Singapore trainer Mark Walker ended last season (2019) with 73 wins to claim his third title as Singapore Champion Trainer, and leads the way with 15 wins this year.

11.50 p.m. R1 2 Prince Pegasus (6 g Beneteau - Sassy Peg) - Vlad Duric; drew barrier 4 of 10 in the $30,000 Class 5 1700 metres on the poly track and carries 57kgs. Disappointing currently, but he does have place prospects in a weaker field.

1.50 a.m. R5 1 Heart of Courage  (5 g Fastnet Rock - Myrrh) - Vlad Duric; drew barrier 5 of 9 in the $30,000 Class 5 1100 metres on the poly track and carries 59kgs. He's enjoying good form and he rates a top four chance.

1.50 a.m. R5 4 Hidden Promise  (7 g Postponed - Promissory) - C K Ng (a3); drew barrier 8 of 9 in the $30,000 Class 5 1100 metres on the poly track and carries 54.5kgs. This distance short of his best, but he has top five claims in a weaker field.

2.50 a.m. R7 2 Federation  (4 g Written Tycoon - Bloomingdale Miss) - John Powell; drew barrier 1 of 12 in the $70,000 Class 3 1400 metres on turf and carries 58kgs. Ideally drawn (1) in a strong Class 3 field, he rates a top four chance - one of a Mark Walker trio in this event.

2.50 a.m. R7 6 Viviano (8 g Keeper - Flying Florence) - Aiman Kamaruddin (a4); drew barrier 11 of 12 in the $70,000 Class 3 1400 metres on turf and carries 53kgs. He requires a weaker race and more distance.

2.50 a.m. R7 8 Inherit (4 g Pierro - In the Future) - Ruan Maia; drew barrier 9 of 12 in the $70,000 Class 3 1400 metres on turf and carries 53kgs. A last start winner, however he meets a much tougher field and rates a place chance.
