Te Akau Singapore Friday Preview
Te Akau horses racing at Kranji Racecourse in Singapore, where 2015 Trainers' Premiership winner Mark Walker lies second on the Trainers' Premiership - now with 41 wins since 1 January.

Friday 24 June

10.20 p.m. R1 4 KING SAVINSKY- Shafiq Rizuan; the first of two Mark Walker runners in the Class 5 on the polytrack draws well (5) and will carry 56.5kgs for our former two-time Champion Apprentice. He's in good form but hasn't had a lot of luck of late - a top four chance.

10.20 p.m. R1 7 CLERMONT CLUB - Olivier Placais; draws two gates wider than his stablemate (7) in this field of 12 and will carry 56kgs. He is enjoying good form and trained well during the week - a top four chance.

10.50 p.m. R2 4 GABBAR - Manuel Nunes; to be ridden by the champion rider, the first of two in this open maiden on the turf for the stable.  He has drawn nicely (4) and carries 56.5kgs in the 12 horse affair.  He also is in good form and while rain would aid his chances, he finds an easier race than he has been facing recently - as such he rates a top five chance.

10.50 p.m. R2 5 SHAQRAA - Shafiq Rizuan; he doesn't fare as well in the draw department (12) as his stablemate and is weighted with 56.5kgs - a shocking barrier again means he will need a lot of luck.

11.50 p.m. R3 11 ZAC GALLANT - App CK Ng (a3); a handy draw (3) and with the apprentice claim, a featherweight of 48.5kgs for the veteran campaigner in this 10-strong assembly. He gets in with this very light weight so is an outside win chance - but overall a top five chance.

12.20 a.m. (Saturday) R5 2 THE COSMOS - Manuel Nunes; a horse who rarely puts in a bad performance and will carry joint top weight of 58kgs in the Class 4 1100m on the poly.  He has drawn well (4) in this field of 11 starters and is in great form - five seconds is a touch frustrating so we hope he can win tonight - with the advantage of a good draw and top rider.

1.20 a.m. (Saturday) R7 4 MY LUCKY STRIKE - Manuel Nunes; in one the night's features, the S$125,000 Kranji Stakes over 1100m on the polytrack, this very good galloper has copped an awkward draw (11) and carries 56.5kgs for the champion jockey.  He's in grand form however and finished runner up last start in a Group 2 - despite the wide barrier he looks a top chance in this 11-strong line up.

1.50 a.m. (Saturday) R8 6 UNSURPASSED - Shafiq Rizuan; the first of a stable duo in this capacity (14) field has drawn the carpark (12) and carries 58kgs.  He will require a lot to go right for him to neutralise those negatives.  He will be ridden back and ridden for luck - if he can secure some of that luck - a top five chance.

1.50 a.m. (Saturday) R8 7 VRAAD - Olivier Placais; the second Mark Walker runner has also copped a tough draw (11) and like his stablemate carries 58kgs.  He has freshened up nicely and is in good form - a top five chance.

2.20 a.m. (Saturday) R9 3 ASPEN - Olivier Placais; draws well enough (7) and carries 57.5kgs in this Class 4 on the turf. The first of three in the event for the stable, he is always a top five chance in Class 4 company and if it rains, he rates a good winning chance as his stocks rise with a cushioned track.

2.20 a.m. (Saturday) R9 5 STORM TROOPER - Shafiq Rizuan; the winner two back draws very well (2) and carries 58kgs in this Class 4 1400m. The second of the Mark Walker trio, he's in very good form with that win and third from his last couple - he rates a top four chance.

2.20 a.m. (Saturday) R9 12 Q NINE MAGIC - Anandan Subramaniam; car park draw - 12 of the 13 runners, the last of the Walker team carries just 51.5kgs. He may need Class 5 to show his best, especially with the draw disadvantage.
