Te Akau Singapore Friday Preview
Te Akau horses racing at Kranji Racecourse in Singapore, where 2015 Trainers' Premiership winner Mark Walker lies third on the Trainers' Premiership - now with 51 wins since 1 January.

Friday 16 September

10.50 p.m. R2 5 HATTA - App CC Wong (a2); first of two stable runners in the Restricted Maiden 2&3YO WFA 1000m on the polytrack, he faces a compact field of 9 starters, has drawn barrier three and carries just 50.5kgs (with the claim) for his third race day appearance.  Following a solid second last start where he went a good race to be just behind the winner, he is in good form - a top four chance.

10.50 p.m. R2 8 Q NINE MILLION - Shafiq Rizuan; the second in this for Mark Walker will jump from barrier nine and carries 52.5kgs in the S$75,000 event.  On debut, he has trialled up well in Singapore.  Just a shame he has drawn wide but nonetheless he rates a top four chance.

11.50 p.m. R4 4 STAR STRIKE - Shafiq Rizuan; to be ridden by Te Akau's former two time Singapore champion apprentice, he has drawn nicely (4) and carries  58kgs in this 13 strong field.  In this Kranji Stakes D SW 1400m on the turf long course A, he has been disappointing date and might need a rain-affected track.

12.50 a.m. (Saturday) R6 9 DREAM COMES TRUE - Manuel Nunes; Mark Walker lines up two starters in each of the next three races, starting with this one, the S$70,000 Novice SW 1400m on the turf long course A.  The better draw of the duo (2) and weighted at only 50kgs, he is a nice horse in the making - a strong top four chance.

12.50 a.m. (Saturday) R6 10 AWATERE - Derrick David; the second stable runner in this has drawn out at nine but has the same lightweight of 50kgs as his aforementioned stablemate in this small field of only nine starters.  A last start winner for the Forsyth family, he has trained on well however this field is much stronger - still a top five chance.
