Te Akau Singapore Friday Preview
Te Akau horses racing at Kranji Racecourse in Singapore, where 2015 Trainers' Premiership winner Mark Walker lies third on the Trainers' Premiership - now with 67 wins since 1 January.

Friday 2 December

11.50 p.m. R2 4 MAJOR TOM - Oscar Chavez; Mark Walker has a strong hand to play in this Restricted Maiden 2&3YO WFA 1000m on the polytrack with three of the ten runners harking from the stable.  All three are debutants - the first ‘deb' racing in the Fortuna colours has drawn gate four and carries only 53.5kgs. He is a lovely son of Darci Brahma and while the 1000m might prove too short, this is a starting stone - he could well prove to be a top four player.

11.50 p.m. R2 7 AUSPICIOUS ACE - Alan Munro; the second for Mark Walker is also a ‘deb' and like her stablemate has also drawn well (3) and has 52 kgs to carry.  A nice filly who has trialled well - again the 1000m will be too short - a place chance.

11.50 p.m. R2 8 SUCCESS COME TRUE - App S Anandan (a1); the third and final of the trio having his first start tonight jumps from gate five and with the apprentice up, carries 51kgs. He will need further.

12.20 a.m. (Saturday) R3 2 FINE CHOICE - App Z Syed (a4); with the apprentice allowance he drops to only 53kgs and has drawn nicely at three (of 10) for the Class 4 1000m on the polytrack.  The first of two in this for trainer Mark Walker, the son of Coats Choice found the company a bit strong last start but with the claim tonight, he can prove competitive.

12.20 a.m. (Saturday) R3 7 KEEN DRAGON - App CK Ng (a3); the second runner for the stable has also drawn well (2) with the apprentice allowance he drops to just 50.5kgs.  This race is a touch short for him and he will step up over further next campaign.

2.20 a.m. (Saturday) R7 9 Q NINE MAXIM - App R Zawari (a2); with the apprentice claim providing a 2kg relief down to 54kgs, he slots in to barrier seven in this 12-strong field for the Class 5 1200 on the polytrack.  He has had a freshen up, 1200m is too short but he will run over more distance next season.

3.20 a.m. (Saturday) R9 4 PURE JUSTICE - Gerald Mosse; in the Class 4 1000m on the polytrack, Mark Walker lines up two starters - the first with the world famous jockey Gerald Mosse up, recently seen at riding Te Rapa in New Zealand, aboard.  He carries 56.5kgs and has  unfortunately drawn 11 of 12.  He is having his last run this prep, a campaign in which he has had no luck whatsoever with barrier draws, and that has continued here tonight.

3.20 a.m. (Saturday) R9 11 VRAAD - App CK Ng (a3); to complete the evening's racing this New Zealand owned horse draws handily (2) and carries a featherweight of 49.5kgs with the apprentice rider aboard.  He was going to be balloted on Sunday so starts here by default - 1000m too short - look for him in the new season.
