The 2015 Champion Singapore Trainer and Trainers' Premiership winner, Te Akau's Mark Walker (winner of the 2015 Trainers' Premiership and third on the 2016 Trainers' Premiership) has trained 25 winners this season and currently leads the Trainers' Premiership.

11.20 p.m. R1 1 PRETTY ELUSIVE - App CK Ng (a3); to start the day's racing she has drawn gate seven in the field of 12 runners for the Class 5 1100m on the polytrack and will carry just 51.5kgs with the apprentice claim. The first of two runners for Mark Walker, and a winner this pre, she is a lightweight chance with the claim.
11.20 p.m. R1 BEST JADE - Manuel Nunes; the second stable starter draws out at 10 of 12 and carries 54kgs. He will suit this barrier as he likes to race on the outside of horses - a top four chance.
12.50 a.m. (Saturday) R4 2 JACK'S SECRET - Shafiq Rizuan; the half brother to the promising Major Tom who lines up later in the programme, this 4YO has drawn barrier two of nine for the Open Maiden WFA 1600m on the turf short course B and is weighted with 58kgs. He looks well placed in this race - top four chance.
2.20 a.m. (Saturday) R7 6 ASPREY - Shafiq Rizuan; a nice winner two starts ago although in a weaker field, he jumps from gate six and carries 56.5kgs in this Class 4 1400m on the turf short course B. Vying for the thick end of this S$60,000 purse against 14 combatants, he found Class 4 a bit strong last start - place chance.
3.20 a.m. R9 2 MAJOR TOM - Shafiq Rizuan; this talented galloper is looking to to for the winning hat trick in this Class 4 1400m on the turf short course B where he draws well enough (6 of 14) and carries 58.5kgs. He has a big weight to lug but he's a very promising horse - top four chance.
