Friday 14 April
5.20 p.m. R2 9 O'REILLY STAR - John Powell; the day starts with this Restricted Maiden 2&3YO WFA 1400m on the turf long course A where he has drawn well (1 of 14) and carries 57kgs. After a nice debut for 3rd, not much went his way last start Tonight he has the senior rider up and gets a good barrier - top four chance .
5.50 p.m. R3 2 LIM'S KNIGHT - Michael Rodd; he brings very good form (2-3-2-1-2) into this Open Benchmark 67 1400m on the turf long course A where he has to carry 58.5kgs and jumps from gate seven. Facing a field of 12, he is in good form - top four chance.
6.50 p.m. R5 7 BRINGER OF WAR - Shafiq Rizuan; on debut in this first leg of the 2YO Challenge, the Kranji Nursery Stakes Open 2YO over 1000m on the polytrack he draws the ace in the compact field of seven and carries 55.5kgs. Chasing a
S$90,000 purse, he trialled up nicely - against unarmed 2YO's things are always unknown but he has shown real promise - rates a top four chance.
7.25 p.m. R6 3 PRINCE DARCI - App R Zawari (a2); the first of two for Mark Walker, with the benefit of a 2kg apprentice claim, he draws seven and will carry 57kgs in this Class 5 1600m on the turf long course A. He has been disappointing but first time in Class 5 - top five chance.
7.25 p.m. R6 5 ASPEN - App Z Syed (a4); the second for the stable in this full field of 14 runners for this Class 5 1200m where he has drawn the carpark (14 of 14) and with the claim drops to 54.5kgs. He has been unlucky of late but the claim will help as will any rain - top four chance.
8.25 p.m. R8 10 READY FORTUNE - App M Jailani (a4); in this Class 5 1200m on the polytrack, he has drawn nicely (1 of 12) and with the allowance will drop to a featherweight of 47.5kgs. He needs further.
9.35 p.m. R10 11 UNSURPASSED - App CK Ng (a3); an apprentice claim will see this son of Exceed and Excel carry only 47.5kgs in this Class 4 1100m on the polytrack where he jumps from barrier nine facing 11 opponents. Although needing to drop back to Class 5 to be more competitive, he went a brave race for fourth in the Class last start.
1o.05 p.m. R11 10 HELLO MICHELLE - Alan Munro; this very capable 3YO daughter of Minstrel Court rarely misses a cheque and looks to increase that record in the last of the programme, the Open Benchmark 67 1400m on the turf long course A. Unfortunately she has drawn 13 of 13 which won't assist this quest and will carry 54.5kgs and still rates a top four chance on ability.
