Te Akau Singapore Friday Preview

The 2015 Champion Singapore Trainer and Trainers' Premiership winner, the Akau's Mark Walker (who finished third on the 2016 Trainers' Premiership) has trained 29 winners and currently leads the Trainers' Premiership.

Friday 21 April:

10.50 p.m. R2 5 SHE'S THE ONE - I Azhar; the evening begins with three stable runners on this Class 5 1000m on the polytrack - the grass is closed for the next three weeks. The first runner draws the extreme outside (12 of 12) and carries 59kgs. She needs more distance.

10.50 p.m. R2 6 SUCCESS COME TRUE - App R Zawari (a2); the second for the stable draws much better (2) and with the apprentice claim carries 56.5kgs. He has been disappointing and needs to step up.

10.50 p.m. R2 10 LUCKY BOY - App R Zuriman (a1); the third of the trio will jump from gate four and carry 56kgs. He has his first start for the stable and he would need ti improve on his current form.

11.20 p.m. R3 8 HAYTHAM - N Juglall; in this Class 4 1100m on the polytrack, he draws nicely (3) and carries a lightweight 53kgs. Facing 10 opponents, he is in good form and just needs a bit of luck - top five chance.

12.50 a.m. (Saturday) R6 3 KASHAN - Manuel Nunes; a nice runner-up last start, he draws 7 of 12 for this Class 5 1200m on the polytrack where he is weighted with 54.5kgs for the champion rider. He finds a weak field here and rates a top four chance.

1.20 a.m. (Saturday) R7 5 EATONS GOLD - App CK Ng (a3); two stable representatives in this Class 3 1100m on the polytrack, where this first of the pair has drawn out at nine and carries just 52kgs with the apprentice allowance. He is an older horse now but he is enjoying great form - top five chance.

1.20 a.m. (Saturday) R7 11 MIGHTY CONQUEROR - I Azhar; a better draw for the second for Mark Walker (4) and another who ran nicely into second place last start, he carries 53kgs tonight. This 4YO by Patapan is a dangerous lightweight chance.

1.50 a.m. (Saturday) R8 7 AUSPICIOUS ACE - App R Zawari (a2); he has drawn barrier seven in this Novice SW 1200m on the polytrack where he will carry 53.5kgs with the claim. In this S$75,000 event he needs to improve on recent form.

2.20 a.m. (Saturday) R9 1 PURE JUSTICE - App R Zawari (a2); the final event sees two starters for Mark walker in the Class 4 1100m also on the polytrack. The first draws best (1) and carries 56kgs with the claim. A last start winner, he might need a drop in Class.

2.20 a.m. (Saturday) R9 6 ROC THAT - App CK Ng (a3); he drops to 50.5kgs with the apprentice aboard and will break from gate 10 of 11 runners. He is awaiting travel to Malaysia to undertake his future racing.
