Te Akau Singapore Friday Preview

Te Akau horses racing at Kranji Racecourse in Singapore, where trainer Mark Walker leads the premiership with 74 wins (9 ahead of 2nd) since the season started on 1 January.

Due to next weekend being group 1 Singapore Gold Cup weekend - there are is no Sunday meeting at Kranji this weekend. 

Friday 6 November

11.20 p.m. R1 4 Ready Fortune (6 g More than Ready - Bahira) - Mammat Jailani (a4); drew barrier eight of fourteen (12 run) in the $35,000 Class 5 1100 metres on the polytrack and carries 54.5kgs. He will benefit from more ground - one of three in the race for Te Akau.

11.20 p.m. R1 7 Double Jeopardy (5 g Mettre En Jeu - Flyin' Finnish) - Chin Wong (a2); drew barrier six of fourteen (12 run) in the $35,000 Class 5 1100 metres on the polytrack and carries 54.5kgs. He also requires more distance to be competitive - one of three in the race for Te Akau.

11.20 p.m. R1 13 Our River Dancer (5 g Danehill Dancer - Distinctly) - Choon Ng (a4); drew barrier nine of fourteen (12 run) in the $35,000 Class 5 1100 metres on the polytrack and carries 55kgs. First on the ballot, he too would need further if able to make the field.

12.50 a.m. (Saturday) R4 1 Zippy (4 g Sir Percy - Almadaam) - Shafiq Rusof (a1); drew barrier thirteen of fourteen (12 run) in the $60,000 Initiation 1200 metres on the turf long course D and carries 56.5kgs. He will benefit by racing over more ground - one of two in the race for Te Akau.

12.50 a.m. (Saturday) R4 3 Speed Craft (4 g Mastercraftsman - Velvet and Satin) - Chin Wong (a2); drew the outside barrier of fourteen (12 run) in the $60,000 Initiation 1200 metres on the turf long course D and carries 56.5kgs. He too is building to race over more distance.

1.20 a.m. (Saturday) R5 7 Unsurpassed (3 g Exceed and Excel - Alamantra) - Shafiq Rusof (a1); drew barrier nine of fourteen (12 run) in the $60,000 Class 4 1000 metres on the poly track and carries 53.5kgs. He has trained on well since finishing third in his Singaporean debut and he rates a top four chance if he can overcome the tricky draw - one of three in the race for Te Akau.

1.20 a.m. (Saturday) R5 9 Hardcore Rock (5 g Fastnet Rock - River Dreaming) - Choon Ng (a4); drew barrier twelve of fourteen (12 run) in the $60,000 Class 4 1000 metres on the polytrack and carries 53.5kgs. He is likely to require an easier assignment in Class 5 to prove competitive - one of three in the race for Te Akau.

1.20 a.m. (Saturday) R5 14 Aguila Azteca (4 m Minstrel Court - La Conga) - unfixed; drew barrier ten of fourteen (12 run) in the $60,000 Class 4 1000 metres on the polytrack and carries 53kgs. She is the second emergency and unlikely to gain a start.
