Te Akau Singapore Friday Preview

It is the first month of the new 2018 Singapore season - with Mark Walker being confirmed as the 2017 Champion Trainer - his second Premiership since re-locating to Singapore in 2010.  To date Mark has trained three winners.

12.50 a.m. (Saturday) R3 4 HAYTHAM - App Mohamad Firdaus (a1); a 4YO by Saperavi, he jumps from gate nine in the field of 11 for the Class 4 Premier 1000m on the polytrack where he drops to 54.5kgs with the apprentice engaged. He has had a wind operation and needs to drop a grade to be more competitive.

1.50 a.m. (Saturday) R5 2 JACK'S SECRET - Craig Grylls; again a field of 11, this time for the Class 4 Non-Premier 1400m on the turf long course E. This 5YO has also drawn gate nine and carries 57kgs for the Kiwi hoop. He had been racing in good form prior to his last start disappointment but there was excuse for that with not much luck going his way - place chance.

2.50 a.m. (Saturday) R7 8 LIM'S REGARD - Glen Boss; a 4YO son of Red Giant, he draws barrier six of 12 in the Class 3 1600m on the turf long course E. With only 52.5kgs for this S$80,000 affair, he sports a solid form line of 5-4-5-2 and rates an each way chance.

3.20 a.m. (Saturday) R8 2 COLORADO PRINCE - App Mohamad Firdaus (a1); the final runner on this relatively quiet evening for the stable draws barrier seven in this Class 4 Premier 1400m on the turf long course E, with 55.5kgs assigned due to the apprentice allowance. A 4YO by Alamosa, the brother to stakes' winners Darci's Dream and Windborne, He has Singapore start three today but improvement needs to be sighted as he has now acclimatised.
