It is the first month of the new 2018 Singapore season - with Mark Walker being confirmed as the 2017 Champion Trainer - his second Premiership - to date Mark has trained nine winners and is third equal for wins this season.

11.20 p.m. R1 7 SUCCESS COME TRUE - Ismail Azhar; the second for the stable, this 4YO draws out (9) and carries 58.5kgs. This is his first start since a knee operation - place chance.

11.50 p.m. R2 3 ELITE ROCKET - Craig Grylls; this Kiwi bred 3YO lines up in the Restricted Maiden 2&3YO WFA 1000m on the polytrack. Drawing handily (4) in this field of 12, this son of Roc de Cambes carries 57kgs. He has been disappointing and needs to improve.

12.20 a.m. (Saturday) R3 4 LIM'S KNIGHT - App R Zawari (a1); in this Class 3 1200m on the turf long course B, this 5YO draws to advantage (4) and, with the 1kg claim, drops to 53.5kgs. Facing 10 opponents, he is in good form, races well fresh and is a top four chance.

12.50 a.m. (Saturday) R4 2 WIRA SAKTI - Ismail Azhar; a 4YO on debut tonight, he takes his place in the Open Maiden WFA 1400m on the turf long course B with 58kgs on his back. He will jump from barrier four in the 13 strong field and, the first of two starters for Mark Walker, he rates a place chance.

12.50 a.m. (Saturday) R4 13 SONNY BILL - App Mohamad Firdaus (a1); the second for the stable has his third Singapore start tonight and breaks from gate 10 of the 13 starters and with the allowance, has 53.5kgs assigned. He needs to lift.

1.50 a.m. (Saturday) R6 7 BIG REGARDS - App Mohamad Firdaus (a1); a winner this prep, this 4YO by Darci Brahma contests the Class 5 1600m on the turf long course B. Another for the stable that has drawn well (4), he has a nice weight reduction dropping to 52.5kgs in this capacity field of 14 runners. He has been unlucky at his last two starts - top four chance.

2.20 a.m. (Saturday) R7 4 DISTINCTIVE DARCI - App R Zawari (a1); a son of the multi-time Champion Sire of Singapore in Darci Brahma, this 4Y0 takes his place in the evening's feature event, the S$125,000 Kranji Stakes A over 1100m on the polytrack. He will bounce from barrier three in the 12 strong field and has 54kgs with the promising apprentice engaged. He wears blinkers for the first time - top four chance.

3.20 a.m. R9 5 AUSPICIOUS ACE - App Mohamad Firdaus (a1); the final stable runner for the evening lines up in the Class 4 Non-Premier 1200m on the polytrack - he draws well (5 of 12) and has 54kgs to carry. Looking for the thick end of this S$45,000 purse, this 4YO is in good form and presents as a top four chance.
