Te Akau Singapore Saturday Preview

Te Akau Singapore has four horses entered Saturday 17 June at Kranji.

Te Akau Singapore trainer Donna Logan ended her first season finishing second in the Trainers' Premiership, and is currently sixth.

Training since 2018 in Singapore, Logan took over from Mark Walker on 1 January 2022.  Walker was Singapore Champion Trainer in 2015, 2017 (record 87 wins), 2019, and 2021, also runner-up three times, third, and fourth.

4:30 p.m. R2 14 King Gee (3 g Invader - Cariad) - unfixed; he drew barrier 5 of 12 in the $75,000 Restricted Maiden 1100 metres on the poly-track and carries 57kg. Sitting a number two on the ballot, he is unlikely to gain a start.

5:30 p.m. R4 11 Wednesday (5 g Super One - Shufetish) - Saleh Shafrizal (a1); he drew barrier 6 of 11 in the $30,000 Class 5 1200 metres on the poly-track and carries 49kg. He is aided by feather weight thanks to the apprentice engagement and rates a top four chance.

6:00 p.m. R5 7 Rocky (4 g El Roca - Anthology) - Saleh Shafrizal (a1); he drew barrier 7 of 9 in the $50,000 Class 4 1600 metres on the poly-track and carries 50.5kg. He has the blinkers on and is expected to hit the line strongly.

9:30 p.m. R12 10 Our Secret Weapon (5 g Outreach - Poppy's Pond) - Yusoff Fadzli (a2); he drew barrier 9 of 12 in the $50,000 Class 4 1000 metres on the poly-track and carries just 50.5kg. He is now up in grade after winning three of his last six appearances, but should be finishing strongly with any luck from his wide barrier draw (9).
