Te Akau Singapore Saturday Preview
Date: 24 Jun 2023
Te Akau Singapore has five horses entered Saturday 24 June at Kranji.
Te Akau Singapore trainer Donna Logan ended her first season finishing second in the trainers' premiership, and currently sixth.
Training since 2018 in Singapore, Logan took over from Mark Walker on 1 January 2022. Walker was Singapore Champion Trainer in 2015, 2017 (record 87 wins), 2019, and 2021, also runner-up three times, third, and fourth.
5:00 p.m. R3 7 Elliot Ness (5 g Written Tycoon - Walk With Attitude) - Harry Kasim; he drew barrier 3 of 8 in the $50,000 Class 4 1100 metres on the poly-track and carries 50.5kg. He worked well through the week and should be running home strongly.
6:00 p.m. R5 4 Diamond Ring (6 g Super Easy - Donna Marie) - Simon Kok (a1); he drew barrier 7 of 12 in the $30,000 Class 5 1200 metres on the poly-track and carries 57.5kg. He gets on well with this jockey and rates a top four chance.
8:00 p.m. R9 8 God's Gift (6 g Haradasun - Criquette) - Yusoff Fadzli (a2); he drew barrier 9 of 12 in the $30,000 Class 5 1700 metres on the poly-track and carries 54kg. He requires luck from his wide draw (9).
9:30 p.m. R12 8 Entertainer (6 g Zoustar - Laughing) - Yusoff Fadzli (a2); he drew barrier 4 of 12 in the $70,000 Class 3 1200m on poly-track and carries 52kg. He posted a solid fourth placing last start, but faces a tougher assignment and may be better suited by a drop back to Class 4.
9:30 p.m. R12 12 Reignite (5 g Sebring - Risk Aversion) - Louis Beuzelin; he drew barrier 3 of 12 in the $70,000 Class 3 1200m on the poly-track and carries 53.5kg. Fresh-up after three trials and a lay-off, he is expected to be finding the line in good fashion.
