Te Akau Singapore Saturday Preview

Te Akau Singapore has four horses entered Saturday 8 July at Kranji.

Te Akau Singapore trainer Donna Logan ended her first season finishing second in the premiership, and currently tied fifth after a double last weekend.  Training since 2018 in Singapore, Logan took over from Mark Walker on 1 January 2022.

Walker was Singapore Champion Trainer in 2015, 2017 (record 87 wins), 2019, and 2021, also runner-up three times, third, and fourth.

6:00 p.m. R5 2 Diamond Ring (6 g Super Easy - Donna Marie) - Simon Kok; he drew barrier 6 of 11 in the $30,000 Class 5 1200 metres on the turf and carries 58.5kg. The jockey has been riding his track work and is very happy with the progress. We expect him to lead for a long way, but only concern is the big weight.

6:30 p.m. R6 8 Rocky (4 g El Roca - Anthology) - Zyrul Azman (a2); he drew barrier 7 of 8 in the $50,000 Class 4 1600 metres on the poly-track and carries 49kg. Has worked well leading up to this and receives an opportunity to prove competitive in this field.

7:00 p.m. R7 12 Mystery Power (6 g No Nay Never - Gems) - Saleh Shafrizal (a1); he drew barrier 12 of 14 in the $30,000 Class 5 1600 metres on the turf and carries 49kg. He finished second last start with this jockey aboard and has worked well this week, but requires luck from the wide draw (12).

9:35 p.m. R12 10 Super Posh (7 g Super Easy - Posh Bec) - Jamil Sarwi (a4); he drew barrier 2 of 11 in the $50,000 Class 4 1200 metres on the poly-track and carries 49kg. He is working well to resume after having a temperature and expect him to run home well from barrier two.
