Te Akau Singapore Saturday Preview

Te Akau Singapore has four horses entered Saturday 15 July at Kranji.

Te Akau Singapore trainer Donna Logan ended her first season finishing second in the Trainers' Premiership, and currently tied fifth. Training since 2018 in Singapore, Logan took over from Mark Walker on 1 January 2022.

Walker was Singapore Champion Trainer in 2015, 2017 (record 87 wins), 2019, and 2021, also runner-up three times, third, and fourth.

4:00 p.m. R1 2 Elliot Ness (5 g Written Tycoon - Walk With Attitude) - Yusoff Fadzli (a2); he drew barrier 10 of 11 in the $30,000 Class 5 1100 metres on the poly-track and carries 57kg. His track work has been good, he drops in grade, and is expected to race well but requires luck from the wide draw (10).

4:30 p.m. R2 9 Roger Roger (3 g Zacinto - Swiss Precision) - Louis Beuzelin; he drew barrier 8 of 12 in the $75,000 Restricted Maiden 1200 metres on the turf and carries 57kg. He looks a nice horse in the making, and is still developing so will benefit from the racing experience.

7:30 p.m. R8 7 God's Gift (6 g Haradasun - Criquette) - Yusoff Fadzli (a2); he drew barrier 7 of 11 in the $30,000 Class 5 2000 metres on the turf and carries 53.5kg. He has worked well in training, galloping with Yusoff aboard, and is very fit and is expected to be running home strongly.

9:30 p.m. R12 8 Our Secret Weapon (5 g Outreach - Poppy's Pond) - Saleh Shafrizal (a1); he drew barrier 9 of 12 in the $50,000 Class 4 1000 metres on the poly-track and carries 51.5kg. His track work during the week has been good, and he ran third last time in this grade but is another requiring luck from a wide gate (9).
