Te Akau Singapore Saturday Preview
Date: 18 Nov 2023
Te Akau Singapore has four horses entered on Saturday 18 November at Kranji.
8:00 p.m. R7 1 Our Secret Weapon (6 g Outreach – Poppy’s Pond) – Yusoff Fadzli (a2); he drew barrier 9 of 12 in the $30,000 Class 5 1000 metres on the poly track and carries 57kg. He drops in grade, steps out over his favourite distance, and rates a top three chance with a good dose of luck from draw (9).
9:30 p.m. R10 6 Axel (8 g Darci Brahma – Josephines Fortune) – Jamil Sarwi (a3); he drew barrier 12 of 14 in the $50,000 Class 4 1400 metres on the turf and carries 52.5kg. A last start winner – his sixth over 1400 metres, he meets tough field but has first four claims, but is another with a difficult (wide) draw to overcome (12).
9:30 p.m. R10 7 Te Akau Ben (6 g Tavistock – Danalaga) – Yusoff Fadzli (a2); he drew barrier 11 of 14 also in the $50,000 Class 4 1400 metres on the turf and carries 53.5kg. A much improved horse last start, he is a course/distance winner, and will look to run home solidly again from the back, given his wide alley (11).
9:30 p.m. R10 17 Montana Flash (5 g Star Turn – Dukemore) – unfixed; he drew barrier 13 of 14 in the $50,000 Class 4 1400 metres on the turf and carries 53kg. He sits number three on the ballot and is unlikely to gain a start.
