Te Akau Singapore Saturday Preview

Te Akau Singapore has nine horses entered on Saturday 9 December at Kranji.

Te Akau trainer Donna Logan ended her first season finishing second in the premiership.

5:30 p.m. R2 1 Prince Lonhro (4 g Lonhro – Palace Gardens) – Yusoff Fadzli (a2); drew outside barrier (11) in the $20,000 Maiden 1100 metres on turf and carries 55.5kg. Hit line well in first start here, will take plenty of improvement for second-up run but requires luck from wide draw (11) to rate a top four chance.

6:00 p.m. R3 6 Fadaboy (5 g Deep Field – Ezee Ezee) – Jamil Sarwi (a3); drew barrier 6 of 12 in the $50,000 Class 4 1100 metres on poly track and carries 51.5kg. Freshened, trialled nicely last week, proven in this grade and will improve with race.

6:30 p.m. R4 5 Gun (3 g Extreme Choice – Myrtle Turtle) – Jamil Sarwi (a3); drew barrier 4 of 9 in the $20,000 Maiden 1200 metres on turf and carries 50.5kg. Performed well on turf when debuting, freshened since last run, and rates top three from barrier four.

7:30 p.m. R6 7 Rocky (5 g El Roca – Anthology) – Jamil Sarwi (a3); drew barrier 5 of 14 in the $50,000 Class 4 1600 metres on turf and carries 51kg. Much improved last start and look for him running home solidly.

8:30 p.m. R8 10 God’s Gift (7 g Haradasun – Criquette) – Jamil Sarwi (a3); drew barrier 2 of 14 in the $30,000 Class 5 1400 metres on turf and carries 53.5kg. Continues to race in strong form, ideally drawn (2) in full field and always offers good value.

9:00 p.m. R9 5 Contarelli (4 g Caravaggio – Dark And Stormy) – Yusoff Fadzli (a2); drew barrier 10 of 12 in the $50,000 Class 4 1100 metres on poly track and carries 53kg. Has trialled okay and making his local debut, blinkers on, but requires luck from wide draw (10) and likely to improve.

9:00 p.m. R9 13 Super Posh (8 g Super Easy – Posh Bec) – Jamil Sarwi (a3); drew barrier 9 of 12 in the $50,000 Class 4 1100 metres on poly track and carries 48kg. Ballot one, unlikely to gain start.

9:30 p.m. R10 8 Knippenberg (4 g I Am Invincible – Red Fez) – Yusoff Fadzli (a2); drew barrier 4 of 13 in the $70,000 Class 3 1200 metres on turf and carries 53kg. Had excuses last start, all three wins here on the long course, strong stats, ideal draw (4), and rates a top four chance.

9:30 p.m. R10 10 Reignite (6 g Sebring – Risk Aversion) – Jamil Sarwi (a3); drew barrier 12 of 13 in the $70,000 Class 3 1200 metres on turf and carries 51kg. Lost no fans last start on turf, but requires luck from wide draw (12) to rate a place chance.
