Te Akau Singapore Saturday Preview

Te Akau Singapore has seven horses entered on Saturday 27 January at Kranji.

5:00 p.m. R1 5 Super Posh (8 g Super Easy – Posh Bec) – Awa Chong (a4); he drew barrier 5 of 12 in the $30,000 Class 5 1000 metres on the poly track and carries 55kg. He drops in grade and rates a top four chance - the first of two in the race for the stable.

5:00 p.m. R1 10 Our Secret Weapon (6 g Outreach – Poppy’s Pond) – Ryan Curatolo; he drew barrier 6 of 12 in the $30,000 Class 5 1000 metres on the poly track and carries 56.5kg. He possesses a good course/distance record, like Super Posh (above), and is capable of upsetting.

6:30 p.m. R4 9 Elliot Ness (6 g Written Tycoon – Walk With Attitude) – Jamil Sarwi (a3); he drew the outside barrier (12) in the $50,000 Class 4 1100 metres on the poly track and carries 49kg. His run was better than it looked last start, but he requires luck from the wide draw (12).

7:00 p.m. R5 1 Otahuhu (4 g Overshare – O’Reilly Miracle) – Jamil Sarwi (a3); he drew barrier 2 of 12 in the $20,000 Maiden 1200 metres on the turf and carries 54.5kg. He switches to turf after two starts and is ideally drawn (2) to show improvement.

8:00 p.m. R7 10 Fadaboy (5 g Deep Field – Ezee Ezee) – Jamil Sarwi (a3); he drew barrier 1 of 12 in the $50,000 Class 4 1200 metres on the turf track and carries 49.5kg. He gets in well at the weights, enjoys a good draw (1), and he too is provided with the chance to improve.

8:30 p.m. R8 8 Red Maned (5 m Burgundy – Imagunakepa) – Mohd Zaki; he drew barrier 6 of 12 in the $30,000 Class 5 1200 metres on the turf and carries 55kg. Would prefer to see her next time over 1400 metres.

9:30 p.m. R10 5 Trident (5 g Deep Field – Miss Fi) – Ryan Curatolo; he drew barrier 7 of 9 in the $70,000 Class 3 1400 metres on the turf and carries 55.5kg. A last start winner, he goes up in class, has shown ability, and has definite first four claims.
