Te Akau Singapore Saturday Preview

Te Akau Singapore has four horses entered on Saturday 18 May at Kranji. 

8:05 p.m. R8 5 Artillery (3 g Smart Missile – Lycra Lass) – Ryan Curatolo; he drew outside barrier (9) in the $75,000 Novice Stakes 1200 metres on the turf and carries 56.5kg. He caught the eye finishing second in the Singapore 3YO Sprint (Gr. 3, 1200m) and suited back to 1200 metres, he will settle back from the tricky draw (9) but nevertheless has first four claims - one of two for the team in the race.

8:05 p.m. R8 6 Santino (3 g Santos – Mercy’s Choice) – Carlos Henrique; he drew barrier 3 of 9 in the $75,000 Novice Stakes 1200 metres on turf and carries 56.5kg. He is ideally drawn (3) to take up a handy position and he too rates a top four chance.

9:10 p.m. R10 10 Stenmark (5 g Medaglia d’Oro – Scandiva) – Luis Corrales; he drew barrier 7 of 12 in the $70,000 Class 3 1400 metres on the turf and carries 54.5kg. He meets a tough field, is better at 1200 metres but is very capable at best.

9:40 p.m. R11 10 Aftermath (6 g Spirit of Boom – Elusive Gift) – Carlos Henrique; he drew barrier 6 of 11 in the $50,000 Class 4 1200 metres on the turf and carries 50.5kg. He raced well two starts ago, has been working well and is one for longer odds - main picture.
