Te Akau Singapore Saturday Preview
Date: 28 Sep 2024
Te Akau Singapore has four horses entered on Saturday 28 September at Kranji.
4:30 p.m. R1 1 Otahuhu (5 g Overshare – O’Reilly Miracle) – Bernardo Pinheiro; he drew barrier 1 of 10 in the S$45,000 Class 5 1200 metres on the poly track and carries 58.5kg. He has solid course/distance stats, and with plans to lead from barrier one, he has definite first four claims - one of two in the event for the team on the penultimate weekend of Singapore racing.
4:30 p.m. R1 2 Santino (4 g Santos – Mercy’s Choice) – Carlos Henrique; he drew barrier 8 of 10 and also takes his place in the S$45,000 Class 5 1200 metres on the poly track and carries 58kg. He received no favours last start when dropped back to Class 5, and will be looking to improve despite having drawn awkwardly (8).
5:30 p.m. R3 2 Elliot Ness (7 g Written Tycoon – Walk With Attitude) – Manoel Nunes; he drew barrier 5 of 9 in the S$85,000 Class 4 1100 metres on the poly track and carries 57kg. He recorded a big course/distance last start win, also with Nunes aboard. While he rises in weight, he remains in the same grade, and rates a top three chance.
8:00 p.m. R8 3 Rocky (6 g El Roca – Anthology) – Simon Kok; he drew barrier 9 of 12 in the S$45,000 Class 5 1700 metres on the poly track and carries 59kg. He drops in grade for this assignment, the blinkers are off, and this is his opportunity to improve if things can go his way from barrier nine.
