Te Akau Singapore Saturday Preview














Te Akau Singapore has 16 (including three on ballot) horses racing on Saturday 12 September at Kranji.





Trainer Mark Walker ended last season (Dec. 8) with 73 wins to claim his third title as Singapore Champion Trainer, and currently leads with 35 wins this year.









5.00 p.m. R3 7 Broadway Success (5 g Alamosa - Broadway Express) - CK Ng (a3); drew barrier 1 of 12 in the $50,000 Class 4 1200 metres on the poly track and carries 49kgs. A last start winner, but he goes up in grade and does look better suited in Class 5.





5.30 p.m. R4 10 Lim's Rhythm (6 g Rock ‘N' Pop - Paixanito) - Benny Woodworth; drew barrier 13 of 14 in the $30,000 Class 5 1400 metres on turf and carries 56.5kgs. He is unpredictable and has also drawn wide (13), but could win if he had his mind on the job.





6.00 p.m. R5 8 Latent Power (4 g Shamexpress - D J Lightning) - Aiman Kamaruddin (a3); drew barrier 9 of 12 in the $20,000 Maiden 1000 metres on the poly track and carries 54.5kgs. The first start for stable, he can be quite difficult in track work but rates a top four chance in moderate field.





6.30 p.m. R6 10 Cousteau (6 g Exceed and Excel - Maritime) - Benny Woodworth; drew barrier 1 of 14 in the $70,000 Class 3 1200 metres on turf and carries 54.5kgs. Resuming in this and he is generally better suited in Class 4.





7.30 p.m. R8 11 Maximillian (5 g Highly Recommended - Annabel Rose) - Aiman Kamaruddin (a3); drew barrier 8 of 14 in the $30,000 Class 5 1400 metres on turf and carries 50.5kgs. He comes in with a light weight and he possesses top four prospects.





7.30 p.m. R8 15 Big Regards (7 g Darci Brahma - Molly Coco) - unfixed; drew barrier 11 of 14 in the $30,000 Class 5 1400 metres on turf and carries 57.5kgs. Ballot one, he is unlikely to gain a start.





8.00 p.m. R9 2 Master Ryker (5 g Sebring - Hanky Panky) - Aiman Kamaruddin (a3); drew barrier 1 of 14 in the $70,000 Class 3 1200 metres on turf and carries 54kgs. He posted a very good first-up second, is ideally drawn (1) and he should prove hard to beat. One of two in this race for Mark Walker.





8.00 p.m. R9 7 Axel (5 g Darci Brahma - Josephines Fortune) - Marc Lerner; drew barrier 12 of 14 in the $70,000 Class 3 1200 metres on turf and carries 55kgs. He has copped an awkward draw (12) and this distance will be short of his best.





8.30 p.m. R10 13 Accumulation (6 g Rip Van Winkle - Vega Sicila) - unfixed; drew barrier 7 of 12 in the $30,000 Class 5 1100 metres on the poly track and carries 55kgs. Ballot one, he is unlikely to gain a start.





9.00 p.m. R11 1 Sacred Rebel (6 g Sepoy - Pandoro De
Lago) - Aiman Kamaruddin (a3); drew barrier 2 of 12 in the $85,000 Class 2 1100
metres on the poly track and carries 54kgs. In great form, he rates a winning
chance.





9.00 p.m. R11 2 Altair (5 g Zoustar - Rossarita) - Ruan Maia; drew the outside barrier (12) in the $85,000 Class 2 1100 metres on the poly track and carries 53.5kgs. He too has a tough draw to overcome (12), he rates a place chance.





9.00 p.m. R11 14 Red Rover (6 g O'Reilly - Pin Up) - unfixed; drew barrier 2 of 12 in the $85,000 Class 2 1100 metres on the poly track and carries 50kgs. Sitting as second on the ballot, he is unlikely to make the field.





9.30 p.m. R12 1 Countofmontecristo (7 g Echoes of Heaven - Replicate) - Aiman Kamaruddin (a3); drew barrier 10 of 13 in the $100,000 Class 1 1600 metres on turf and carries 56kgs. The highest rated galloper in work at Kranji, he is a newcomer to stable, but he has a difficult draw to overcome (10) but has to be a candidate on talent for a top three finish if luck can go his way.





9.30 p.m. R12 4 Yulong Edition (5 g Makfi - Bride Unbridled) - CK Ng (a3); drew barrier 3 of 13 in the $100,000 Class 1 1600 metres on turf and carries 47kgs. He strikes a very strong race - place chance looks best.





10.00 p.m. R13 1 Augustus (6 g Snitzel - Gussy Godiva) - Aiman Kamaruddin (a3); drew barrier 8 of 14 in the in the $50,000 Class 4 1800 metres on turf and carries 56kgs. He is now back in grade and he looks a top four finisher..





10.30 p.m. R14 2 JR Malone (6 g Sepoy - Leone Chiara) - Aiman Kamaruddin (a3); drew barrier 3 of 12 in the $50,000 Class 4 1200 metres on the poly track and carries 55kgs. In good form, he shapes as a final four proposition.
