7.00 p.m. R5 10 Bionics (5 g Hinchinbrook - Bionic Girl) - JP Van der Merwe; drew the outside barrier (14) in the $50,000 Class 4 1100 metres on the poly track and carries 51.5kgs. the outside draw (14) makes it tough, so he looks a place chance with luck.

7.30 p.m. R6 1 Afalonhro  (5 g Lonhro - Armed for Action) - Ruan Maia; drew barrier 7 of 14 in the $50,000 Class 4 1400 metres on turf and carries 59kgs. Top weight to carry, but nonetheless he rates a top four proposition.

9.00 p.m. R9 12 Beau Geste (6 g Street Cry - Haut Ton) - CK Ng (a3); drew barrier 13 of 14 in the $85,000 Class 2 1200 metres on turf and carries 47kgs. He has drawn wide (13) in a tough field so it makes his task very tough.

9.00 p.m. R9 15 Master Ryker (5 g Sebring - Hanky Panky) - unfixed; drew barrier 12 of 14 in the $85,000 Class 2 1200 metres on turf and carries 50kgs. Ballot one, unlikely to gain a start.

In good form, the champion is ideally drawn (2), and justifies being considerrd as a top four prospect in Group 1 company.
