Te Akau Singapore Saturday Preview

Te Akau Singapore has 16 horses racing on Saturday 21 November at Kranji.

Trainer Mark Walker ended last season (Dec. 8) with 73 wins to claim his third title as Singapore Champion Trainer, and currently second with 41 wins this year.

5.30 p.m. R2 7 Barbarian (4 g Redoute's Choice - Fume Blanc) - Ruan Maia; drew barrier 10 of 14 in the $30,000 Class 5 1200 metres on turf and carries 55.5kgs. He finds the right race, but the trainer is hoping for dry track - he rates among the top four prospects.

6.00 p.m. R3 1 Afalonhro (5 g Lonhro - Armed for Action) - Marc Lerner; drew barrier 11 of 14 in the $50,000 Class 4 1600 metres on turf and carries 58.5kgs. Despite carrying the top weight and the frustration of a wide draw (11), he rates a place chance.

6.30 p.m. R4 1 Street Cry Success (6 g Street Cry - Koala Bear) - John Powell; drew barrier 2 of 14 in the $50,000 Class 4 1200 metres on turf and carries 59kgs.  The top weight in this but he does drop to Class 4 and can feature in the first four.

6.30 p.m. R4 13 What You Like (7 g Savabeel - Kinsella) - CK Ng (a3); drew barrier 13 of 14 in the $50,000 Class 4 1200 metres on turf and carries 47kgs. He requires a drop to Class 5 to make his presence felt.

7.00 p.m. R5 1 Brutus (4 g Rubick - Harvest Queen) - Ruan Maia; drew barrier 13 of 14 in the $75,000 Novice 1200 metres on turf and carries 58kgs. He is enjoying good form but requires luck from the awkward draw (13) to rate a top four prospect.

7.00 p.m. R5 2 Speedy Missile (4 g Smart Missile - Telegraph Girl) - John Powell; drew barrier 4 of 14 in the $75,000 Novice 1200 metres on turf and carries 58kgs. Fresh-up here, he is however destined to get up in trip but can feature in the finish.

7.30 p.m. R6 4 Time Lord (6 g Guillotine - Mary Agnes) - John Powell; drew barrier 4 of 12 in the $70,000 Kranji C 2000 metres on turf and carries 58kgs. He bounced back with a last start second and a repeat is on the cards from a handy draw, with a senior rider engaged.

7.30 p.m. R6 8 Axel (5 g Darci Brahma - Josephines Fortune) - Benny Woodworth; drew barrier 7 of 12 in the $70,000 Kranji C 2000 metres on turf and carries 56.5kgs. He finished a solid third last start, however the 2000m trip is an unknown - he can be in the finish if he appreciates trip.

8.00 p.m. R7 4 Buddy Buddy (6 g Dubawi - Born Something) - Benny Woodworth; drew barrier 7 of 14 in the $50,000 Class 4 1600 metres on turf and carries 58kgs. Having hirst start for stable, he presents as a first four contender.

8.00 p.m. R7 8 Mustengo (5 g Minstrel Court - Zabba) - Ruin Maia; drew barrier 5 of 14 in the $50,000 Class 4 1600 metres on turf and carries 53kgs. He has been racing well and he has top four credentials.

8.30 p.m. R8 10 Federation (5 g Written Tycoon - Bloomingdale Miss) - Louis Beuzelin; drew barrier 6 of 14 in the $85,000 Kranji B 1600 metres on turf and carries 53.5kgs. He requires a drop to Class 4 to be a danger.

8.30 p.m. R8 11 Inherit (5 g Pierro - In the Future) - Benny Woodworth; drew barrier 3 of 14 in the $85,000 Kranji B 1600 metres on turf and carries 53.5kgs. He is another that requires a drop to Class 4.

8.30 p.m. R8 12 Sacred Gift (5 g Zoustar - Calcatta) - JP Van der Merwe; drew barrier 5 of 14 in the $85,000 Kranji B 1600 metres on turf and carries 53.5kgs. He too may likely require a drop to Class 4.

9.00 p.m. R9 10 Broadway Success (5 g Alamosa - Broadway Express) - Benny Woodworth; drew barrier 10 of 14 in the $50,000 Class 4 1200 metres on turf and carries 52kgs. He is a horse that would be better suited in Class 5.

9.30 p.m. R10 7 Yulong Edition (5 g Makfi - Bride Unbridled) - Marc Lerner; drew barrier 15 of 16 in the $1m Singapore Gold Cup (2000m) on turf and carries 54.5kgs. He has a tough barrier draw (15) to overcome and he requires a dry track to make an impression.

9.30 p.m. R10 12Sacred Croix (6 g Savabeel - Croix Du Sud) - Benny Woodworth; drew barrier 1 of 16 in the $1m Singapore Gold Cup (2000m) on turf and carries 50kgs. He requires a dry track to rate light weight contender.
