Te Akau Singapore Saturday Preview
12 December, 2020
Te Akau Singapore has seven horses racing on Saturday 12 December at Kranji.
Trainer Mark Walker ended last season (Dec. 8) with 73 wins to claim his third title as Singapore Champion Trainer, and currently second with 44 wins this COVID-interrupted year.
6.30 p.m. R3 2 Afalonhro (5 g Lonhro - Armed for Action) - Aiman Kamaruddin (a3); drew barrier 3 of 12 in the $50,000 Class 4 1700 metres on the poly track and carries 55.5kgs. He won a trial on Tuesday and he rates a top four chance.
8.30 p.m. R7 10 Broadway Success (5 g Alamosa - Broadway Express) - CK Ng (a3); drew barrier 8 of 12 in the $50,000 Class 4 1200 metres on turf and carries 48.5kgs. He may be better suited in Class 5 to make an impact.
9.00 p.m. R8 6 Maximillian (5 g Highly Recommended - Annabel Rose) - Aiman Kamaruddin (a3); drew the outside barrier (12) in the $30,000 Class 5 2000 metres on turf and carries 54kgs. He is a last start winner, but he does require luck from the draw (12) to present as a top four prospect.
9.00 p.m. R8 9 Big Regards (7 g Darci Brahma - Molly Coco) - Mohd Zaki; drew barrier 3 of 12 in the $30,000 Class 5 2000 metres on turf and carries 55kgs. He needs to improve to have claims here.
9.30 p.m. R9 4 What You Like (7 g Savabeel - Kinsella) - Benny Woodworth; drew barrier 5 of 12 in the $30,000 Class 5 1000 metres on the poly track and carries 59kgs. The blinkers go back on, and he looks to be a first four contender.
10.00 p.m. R10 2 Silent Partner (5 g Dandy Man - Dolce Dovo) - Aiman Kamaruddin (a3); drew barrier 1 of 12 in the $50,000 Class 4 1200 metres on turf and carries 55.5kgs. He won a trial on Tuesday and is certainly an improver - he could feature each-way at big odds.
10.00 p.m. R10 12 Sportscaster (7 g Fastnet Rock - Gypsy
Dancer) - CK Ng (a3); drew barrier 9 of 12 in the $50,000 Class 4 1200 metres
on turf and carries 47kgs. He requires a drop to Class 5.
